Aside from the noise and affecting resale value, not much. Might beat itself eventually. If you can stand the noise and don't want to change it is up to you.

At last someone in the UK is supplying the rear axel mounting bushes for £49 the pair. Took me about 2 hours to cut the old ones out and push the new ones in using a large vice.
No thump when we off/on the accelerator pedal. It's made the moustache bar rubbers clunk more though so will be replacing them with some polybushes at the weekend along with the sway bar bushes and hopefully that will be it for a while. Or maybe not.

UPDATE.
Finally got around to replacing the two moustache bushes with poly ones and also the anti-roll bar bushes. I now have harmony at the rear.
Total cost of replacing bushes in the rear upper control arms, diff mounts and moustache bar was £130 diy instead of £700 unfitted for the whole items at uk mitsubishi prices. Lots of hasstle though but my time is free and nobody on the planet is worth uk motor dealer hourly rates which are £60-£100 per hour.

Don't be ripped off when replacing these.

Mine was noisy as hell before replacing the front diff mount bushes - banging around whenever the torque load changed.

Now I have fitted poly bushes - not a single noise from the diff at all.

Cost me AUD$395 fitted - and being poly will last longer and a more firm.

Now for another suspension question.....

The 00UTY has all new bushes & suspension bits fitted, yet when driving over sharp bumps (a pot hole with steep sides for example) I am still getting an occassional clunk from the front end.

Anyone got any ideas as to what this might be?

Check Your Inner Tie Rod Ends, these are notorious for wearing out on outies. I replaced mine and you could move the shaft in and out of the housing quite a bit.
