32miles down the highway and the HG went out on me. Nothing like going 80 miles an hour and it just drops to 75 and then 70 and my RPMs staying high lol. I lost throttle and I heard it chattering under the hood so I stalled the car out and COASTED off the exit I was at. I then pushed the car into the gas station with my gf, popped teh hood and it was smoking bad. After it cleared up, I had oil everywhere and it was even chillin on my tranny lol. Car was towed back to my work and I was going to start to rip the head off, but then realized I need to do TIMING, so I said FUCK that lol and the car is now on craigslist for $600.

Shurg Im really not upset about it other then I have the rest of this month without a car. I mean my gf and kids are still here you know, hell if it were just me, I would have GAVE the car to whoever junk yard would pick it up free towing lol.

well that's a big waste of cash if u sell it considering u just spent quite a bit of money on it recently, HG isn't that hard and don't take a lot of time to do it. go spend the lil bit it cost for a HG and put it on THEN think about selling it

its gone brotha. YES I put at least a min of $4000 into this car, but at least its a headach gone. The car is still here But Im for sure selling it. couple people coming to look at it tommorrow.

Cancel my insurence that saves me money and Gas that saves memore money. Hell to loose a Eclipse dont break my heart. I have had more then most on this site. I have been through EVERY issue these things can dish. I dont claim to know everything about them, but I seem to always go back to them and I need to STOP that bad habbit.

Its all about money right now. I can save save save and not even worry about it. I will be by myself and living for free at work. If I need to get somewhere, I can walk or get a ride. Im so set man its not even funny. To sit there and sink more time and money into this GS, would just be dumb.

besides, how can I get me a nice wrx or something if I dont save? The time is now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif)

Sounds like a major change of lifestyle, but sometimes a change is good. That's pretty amazing you can stay at work, should help save a bundle of bucks. Darned shame about the car, but I guess there's a limit to how much abuse one can take from just one source!

its not only can I stay, but my Boss came to my house and sat down with us. Im staying at work, he said im looking at a RAISE IN APRIL or MAY of $2,000-$3,000 a year. So we agreed to have my gf get settled and everything in order while i stay here and continue to work. Once she is on her feet and we are ok to start over again, I can then move back to SHIT HOLE michigan.

It seems like some eclipses/talons are just cursed, I've had friends who have had a few, no matter what you do, they can't be fixed. Anyways, that's too bad Wicked, congrats on the raise though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

oh mine can be fixed. I think its the timing that scares me. I have never successfully dotn timing right. Ive been through alot of heads, and whatnot. With me wanting to seriously SLAM the bank account with every penny you know, I dont want to pay a shop to get my car working again.

stay on the forums WTF.

Bro once a dsm ALWAYS a dsm even if im rollin in a jetta or some shit.

I have gone and been through so much with these cars. I will always stay and help those who dont know what they are doing. The only way I would leave is if everyone started to give me hell because Im not behind the wheel of a mitsubishi.

JuGs thanks for the offer. Im in no situation to be paying someone to help with timing or gas. I just really want it gone because it gives me a headach. Ive replaced almost EVERYTHING on it. Mostly dealership oem for a cost. JuGs if you want the car I will sell it to you for $400 as is rims and all. Throw on a HG and do the timing and your really good to go. It was getting shitty mpg, but the day before it went down, I replaced teh fuel rail, all the injectors, coil pack, and fuel lines. That was all I had left to change to effect my mpg.
