I'm about to load this engine bay up with batteries but I'm stuck if I can find the "GVWR" (maximum loaded weight) of my 1987 Mitsubishi Tredia:

As you can see, the battery racks are installed in front of and behind the electric motor and the total weight of batteries in the front will be 115Kg (262 lbs).
I shouldn't be exceeding the max weight of the axles with this but I'd still like to know just what the GVWR is for the Mitsubishi Tredia. Even the GVWR for the Cordia would work - they're almost identical.
Anyone know where to look on the net?
Cheers!

The original steering wheel on my 1995 Mighty Max had been replaced with an aftermarket steering wheel and the horn was left unhooked. After removing the steering wheel, there was only one wire visible, a black ground wire. What do I need to do to get the horn working again?

Hi everyone,
i own 1985 dodge ram 50 sport 2.0 L. the car seems to be running alright other than a few carburetor issues. The choke takes a while to open up in the morning and then remains open afterwards. i have tried spraying carb cleaner on it several times but it has not seemed to help much.
Also the car will not stop right when i turn the ignition off. it goes through a couple more cycles then sputters out.
Lastly the car sometimes hesitates when i step on the gas from a halt, as if it were about to stall out.
Any insight into the problem would be greatly appreciated as i am not very experienced with cars and dont have money to go to a mechanic. thanks a lot!

Hi Everyone, this is my first post even though I've had 5 mitsubishis over the years gone by. I should have been a member long ago!
I'm currently converting a 1987 Mitsubishi Tredia to run on electricity but I've found the gearbox has a little bit of a major hole in it.

Does anyone know if the Cordia gearbox (supershift or not, doesn't matter) will fit this model?
I assume the gearboxes should be the same as they're cousin cars.
The car in question is at my electric vehicle conversion website www.KiwiEV.com
Thanks and gidday from downunder everyone!

Could anyone tell me what the gear ratios are for a 5-speed Cordia or Tredia gearbox? Perhaps a Starion or Eterna/Sigma gearbox is the same too?
If you have a detailed owners manual or "Haynes" manual then it should have it in there!
If you can help, I'm after:
1st Gear Ratio................... ? :1
2nd Gear Ratio.................. ? :1
3rd Gear Ratio................... ? :1
4th Gear Ratio................... ? :1
5th Gear Ratio................... ? :1
Reverse Gear Ratio............ ? :1
Final Drive Ratio................. ? :1
This will help me ascertain what RPM my electric motor will be doing in each gear at a given speed.
For those of you scratching your heads this is part of an electric car conversion. I'm sure you're all sick of me saying that but it saves me answering any "why do you want to know?" questions.

Thanks folks!

Ok.. I am need of some serious help.. I currently bought a 1989 Ram 50 with the 2.6 G54B motor, 5 speed 4x4.. I took the old carb off and replaced it with a new head , 38/38 weber, flowmaster exhaust, and performance cam. The truck ran great with the new head except for the fact that oil pumped out of the breather on the back of the valve cover.. The PCV valve works and is also brand new along with the oxygen sensor.. I took the cam out and put a stock cam in the truck but the tail shaft on the cam was too long and stuck out the back ( probably a cam for a front wheel drive 2.6) so to make it fit inside the head so I could use my cam plug, I had it cut down to the size that fits in the truck version and the motor runs rough.. The whole entire truck shakes at idle really horrible when cold but no so bad when it is warm. When I drive down the road, the truck runs perfect.. What is wrong ? If anything, I would like to know how I fix the oil from coming out of the back so I can run my bigger cam.. anything would help.. Thanks
Ryan

hi,
i am jm from the philippines. i am just wondering if you have a relay diagram for headlights. i recently installed a 100/90 watts headlamp, the service advisors of mitsubishi told me to put to more relays for the low beam and high beam. but there's one problem, i don't know what's the positive and the negative wires on my headlamp. my wagon is a mitsubishi adventure super sport 2.0g (4g63 - manual). it seems that the headlight is harnessing its ground from the switch. please help.
jmcast2003@yahoo.com. can you guys give me a diagram? by the way the color of the wires are red blue on the left, red white on the center and red on the right socket. also, can you give me a diagram for the dimmer passing switch? thanks in advance.

I've got this J26 4WD "Jeep" built in 1975 and imported then sold by Colt UK 1980 (I'm 3rd owner from new).
I am looking to replace a blown cylider head gasket but the local Mitsubishi dealer is having problems finding the correct part number (even though the vehicle is in their service bay).
The engine is a 2.6 litre Astron - which I think are being remanufactured by Mitsubishi Australia?
Can anyone help me please?
Kind regards
Bernard

I picked up a 1991 eagle 2000 gtx from a friend of a friend. The car needed some TLC and a valve job (which is now done)
Anyway. I can't seem to find any information on this car. I searched the net, but couldn't find anything. The only thing I know is that there were very few of these cars sold in Canada, and the cars counter part is a mitsubishi Gallant. Any info would be great.

Hey y'all
I drive a 1995 Chrysler Lebaron. I know ur wonderin "why are you here?" Well, chrysler offered a 4cyl and 6cyl option with the lebaron, and the v6 they used was the mitsu-made 6g72 SOHC 3.0L. I like my car, convertibles are always fun, and it has good power and is pretty quick. I love the engine, has a nice tone to it.
Its gettin a lil worn tho, esp with how i used to run her hard. (run-in with cops changed that). ill still have some fun every now and then of course, but not too often.
Anyways, I would really love to work with this car, it has a bit of potential. I was just wondering if any of yall knew if there are any performance mods (esp exhaust/cold air) which are applicable to the 6g72 SOHC? i know the sister engine DOHC turbo powered the infamous 3000GT, so i was wondering if there might be any parts available for the SOHC model?

greetings from a newbie. Will be spending time on this forum's past posts to get some insight into problems w/ my 93 Eagle Summit. I have had some problems lately w/ cross threaded lug nuts snapping off. The local grease cretin over worked his HD air wrench I'm sure. I have replaced 3 of the studs so far...a RPITA. Is there a source for wheel studs that are harder steel than OEM? Have some other issues but will check archives b4 bringing up a previously covered topic.

hello one and all,
I have just recently aquired a 1998 mitusbishi express SJ MWB van. Top van, drives like a dream. Anyways, It came fitted out with an alarm/immobiliser system already installed, the thing is though that the immobiliser side of the system is not hooked up. My problem is im having a little trouble finding the fuel pump and starter motor wires to patch into the alarm system. I would have thought that they would have been located under the steering coloum which they most probably are, but there are so many wires under there im having a hard time figureing out which one is which. I wouldnt think this would be a difficult task, i would assume it would be straight forward actually. What i need is a simple wiring diagram, or an explanation of where i might find these ilusive wires. If anyone has a wiring diagram they could send me, (hewi13@hotmail.com) or has knowledge of where i might find these wires or has any advice or comments/help what so ever that would be much appreciated
thanks guys & gals

Hi all,
Looking at getting a Mitsi Express for a second veichle, own a 5 litre Commodore wanting something just a bit cheaper to run around town in

. I would like to put some Rims of some type on it, what are my options with the stud pattern they have? Would be great if the Mitsi's are all the same but I doubt this is the case? Vans may have their own pattern?
Looking at an early 90's model by the way.
Thanks all
