Hello all, My name is Brian and I'm living in Texas. I currently own a an 07 Cobalt that has been nothing but problematic for me, so I'm going to get me an 09 Lancer ES Sport to replace it. Manual of course. Looking hard at a white one at my local dealer, the only problem I have with it is that it's got a tan interior, which is a no no for me. So hopefully I can find one to my liking! :-) The sound system I have in my Cobalt right now will be coming with me, so any warnings about that are much appreciated!

Hey guys, I've been lurking around these forums for a while before I bought my Lancer and now more than ever as there are quite a few great ideas for mods and tuning.
I picked up a new 2009 GTS late last month and prior to that owned a Mazda 3 GS. The Lancer is leaps and bounds more fun so far than the 3, especially with all the technology packed into this car (I'm an IT guy and a huge techno-geek, love all gadgets).
Anyway I'm sure I'll have piles of questions in due time and hope to contribute just as much the more I learn about my new toy. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I'm from southeast Louisiana and I just bought a 2002 Eclipse RS. It has a few little problems that I hope to get info on here. Well I hope the problems are little!! I don't know squat about cars so we shall see if I got ripped off!! I paid $4300 for it. It has 114,000 miles on it, new brakes, fairly new tires and the interior is in good condition.

Hello,
I thought I'd join this forum to gather more information on the 2009 Evo. Right now I own a 2001 Audi TT and it is more trouble than it is fun. I'm looking for a real AWD car, not a Haldex AWD that the TT has. I have been through two separate Haldexs' without any luck...it remains a FWD. I will soon be moving to Cold Lake, Alberta and need something reliable and good in the snow because the nearest dealer is in Edmonton which is about 250 kms away on little two lane highways.
I have to decide between 2009 Evo and the 2009 Subaru WRX STI. It is going to be a difficult decision because I am a complete noob with both of these car makers. I just know that after some research that both of these car better suit my needs.
So I'll mostly just creep other threads unless someone can point me into the right direction now? I'm not looking to make it a tuner. The most I would do is a chip. I just need something reliable that doesn't have a different sensor going off every second week.
Thanks for any input!
Cheers,
Rob

Hello everyone. I'm new here (obviously lol) I've been wanting a Mitsubishi since I was 15 when my sister got her Galant (don't remember which year) and I finally got my 09 Lancer ES Sport last month

I would still be driving my 98 Honda Accord if it didn't need a new transmission, so... me and my mom went looking around online for a new car and decided on a Lancer

oh yea I'm only 19

Hi there, I'm Gerd, from Belfast, Ireland. Just thought I'd introduce myself.
Reading through the forum's posts, its clear to see that there are a huge number of really experienced people here, with a very expansive range of knowledge and experience.
Not me though, I'm a pure novice who stubled upon the site looking for advice on why my 2001 Mitsubishi Carisma died on its rear end on the motoway, may miles from home

(
(I'll post the problem in the main forum)
A bit about me, i'm a 29 year old guy who's just bought the said car, and someone who's fallen in love with Mitsubishi's...
I'm into Gaelic sports and work as an IT technician in Belfast. I also do a lot of freelance graphic design and photography.
Also, if anyone is interested, or it is not already available, I have a great little interactive service manual for my mitsubishi carisma...which will be handy I'm sure to a few of you.
Just pass me your email addy's and I'll share it with whoever needs it.
Think thats it for now...
Adh Mór,
Gearóid

Judging by the age of the posters in here, I think maybe I should change my profile name to "Grandma"
I put almost 200k miles on my '92 Mitsu Expo and if I'd known how much I was going to miss her,
I'd a never let her go.
I JUST bought a '94 Colt Vista so I'm a Happy Camper again and I look forward to the forums!

I wanted to post and say hello to everyone here. I am new here and also new to the Lancer way of life. I traded my Eclipse for an 08 Lancer a few days ago and have lived on the forums ever since trying to get all my questions answered. There are so many different ideas and opinions on here but ultimately I see that owning a Lancer is serious business around these parts...LOL. I will be posting dumb shit from time to time so PLEASE take it easy on me guys.

Riding bikes for 5 years.

Hi, i'm Unparalleled. I'm 17 and own a black 2001 Galant ES V6. The exterior has some small parts rusting, and massive amounts of oxidation on the hood, but the inside is just fine, and it drives great.

Hey all. I've always liked the look of the 2g Eclipse so when I needed an affordable DD that was good on gas I decided to pick one up. I figured I might as well get a turbo to play with while I was at it so now I have my '97 GS-T. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much. I'm a big muscle car fan. I've owned 2 Camaros, a Nova, and a Barracuda. This GS-T has turned out to be a lot of fun. I do see the potential in this car, but I'm planning on keeping a very streetable 350hp.
I've only had this thing about 8 months or so. Most of that time has been spent on maintenance. I try to do all the work myself. It's been a great learning experience trying to translate my V-8 muscle car knowledge into this four banger. I've never had a turbo before, only blowers.
Anyways, even though I'm relatively new to DSMs, I've been working on/modifying my own cars for around...wow...30 years. Hope I can add something to this forum, besides gaining some more knowledge.

Hi there! I'm Justin (pl8er) and this is my first post. Just got my Lancer GTS 2009 last Sunday (actually went back with a good friend of mine and he picked up a Ralliart too). Nice car....take off sorta reminds me of strapping a 50lb rock to my legs underwater and running at full speed, but I'll work on that as time goes on. I'm really interested in adding a new exhaust and CIA. Oh! Good thing about me, I am fully capable of clicking search and typing 2009 intake or 2.4 intake

So lets see if I can get through the beginning without being called a newb
What else is interesting.....i'm an international buyer of high purity metal (mainly titanium) I'm really into lifting (not a big guy...only 200lbs, but I can bench 335) I've done marathons, 200 mile bike races my first kid was born last October (boy). I'm a huge computer nerd and really into audio. If you need help with either, ask...I find little I can't figure out there.
Lastly, I think this

is just ghey

(I was parked far from the curb on purpose because when I bought the car it was missing a lugnut on the front right. Took these pictures after putting one on there.)

my awesome 2001 Mitsubishi Galant ES
I don't care what anyone says, I love this car. I've had it for about a week, and it's so much nicer than the 1997 Mercury Sable I was driving before.
Anyway, I came here to ask
a question about replacement headlights, so if I could have your help on that issue I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for all help!

Hello to All!
I reside in good old England.
I am here to read and learn from the experts that you always find on forums! I know nothing yet about Mitsubishis but intend to find out more to avoid big Garage,(shop), bills. You never know I might find out something useful to other forum users before long.
I am going to sell my current ride, '95 Colt and look for something else.

i have a 1997 eclipse gst and since i have bought it i have replaced the motor with a 1998 evo rvr motor and a lot of smaller things one after the other. i had a clogged cat and a bad egr valve so i bought a whole new exhaust and an egr valve put them in and the next day my car died. i pulled the intermediat pipe off the exhaust and found it had a large amount of oil in it so i then pulled off the down pipe and found that to be full of black soot and a lot of it for only driving 30-40 miles. my first guess is that the turbo is bad (2 years old maybe 30,000 miles on it) or possible the waste gate, but i don't want to just go buying parts that i don't need. i was hoping maybe someone on here would have seen this happen before and could help me out. PS the car will start but idles at about 300 RPM really rough and if i rev it the car wont rev past 2000-2500 RPM

Hello there I new to this forum. But I am hoping there is a Lancer expert who might be able to help me get out of a fix...
Hi everyone... Stupidly, I had to change the front right driver's tyre of my 2007 Lancer in the dark. Felt around for best point to insert jack and found a rubberised socket pretty much in line with near engine door edge, underneath drivers flooring.
Change tyre quickly without problems. Got back in car to discover I now have a dinner plate sized lump under driver side carpet. It feels like the jack has lifted, but not quite disengaged, some type of flooring plate, pretty much where the driver's feet should rest.
My question is can anyone in the forum confirm my diagnosis...I don't want to have to cut the carpet for further analysis... And can I just persuade it back in place with delicate use of a mallet.
Thanks everyone

I had a 1999 L200 and some other 4*4 before and looking forward to have a great time tuning that rig for slightly more offroad capability and than travelling to the desert and eastern europa.
Nice to meet you
