Quick queston, if i bought an engine for a swap i want to do. Say from a mirage 1.5 to a Evo 2.4, would i NEED the ECU and tranny from that exact Evo? or can i get like an aftermarket ECU or something in place of the ECU i didnt get?

I've seen a lot of posts about installing nitrous kits and where to get them and such, but where do you get the nitrous itself to fill into the tanks? Considering about the only car places around me are places like autozone or o'reilly, i'm not sure where to get the actual N2O. If anyone knows of a place to get nitrous, please post cuz it's something I want for my car at some point.

i got a 97 mitsubishi eclipse gst. i bought it with a blown turbo so i put a stock evolution turbo. besides that the car is completely stock except for high performance spark plugs. when i hit 5g rpm my car starts to pop and it doesnt move any faster..like a fuel cut or something. it feels like i have an overboost problem but so many people tell me different things. can anyone help me out?!?!?!

Got a quick question here fellas hoping someone can help me out. how do you test for a bad turbo or what are the signs of a turbo goin bad??? i recently did a turbo swap in my 94 lancer gsr 1.8t, basiclly put an evo 2 TD05H in. with the stock TD04H it does .8 bar and fully spools up at around 3000. now with the TD05H in it only goes up to .5 bar and it fully spools up around 4000. thanks bros

I got my air flow wired in right... I believe anyway... (pin 90) I think it was the pink wire that goes to the ECU?

So anyways... instead of getting afl in monitor I get kar... both are measured in Hz. But if I switch to a different sensor type It shows afl but obviously its the wrong sensor that way and it doesnt work. So why cant I get afl to show up in karman mode on my safc2?

I know that this subject has been thrashed out time and time again but I am getting ready for my next oil change on my 97 GDI Pajero and am a little confused. In my past life as a motorbike rider I swore by synthetics. Since my older days I have gone semi-synthetic using Castrol Magnatec. Just recently, I have "heard" throughseveral sources that these oils work well when clean and on cold start-ups but tend to collect debris as the oil gets dirty which of course makes the lubrication between parts much like a cheese grater. Not having re-built an engine in some 20years can anyone offer thier thoughts on what is the best overall oil to use?

i was looking to get a boost contoller for my 1G, but loooking at them, it looks like you can make it yourself!

to me it looks like a brass elbow, 2 brass nipples and a adjuster to control the boost

has anyone made their own or am i missing something?
