QUOTE (g-spot;193837)
Here's the video from last year's meet:
TGCTXCRUISE_0002.flv video by clubtgc - Photobucket
Here's the original thread on TGC
TI: 2009 TGCtexas Tri-City Cruise pre-plan - The Galant Center Since there's a growing interest from Club3G, Club4G, and other forums we've decide to expand this to a Mitsubishi Tri-city cruise. Plus that weekend is a Hot Import Nights weekend so there's going to be a lot of spectators heading to Austin.
Here's the basic plan:
Like last year's cruise, we'll start in our designated starting point (DFW, SA, HOU) and then meet at Austin, TX around the given time from our planned schedule. Each route will have coordinator(s) leading the way.

The plan afterwards will be decided us (folks who are going) so if you have any cool places to have fun, now is the time to ask. Some of us will be at HIN supporting those competing while others can spend the evening at local outings, depending on the schedule. This meet should lasted until Sunday afternoon so plan to find a room at the local inn if you're staying the night. Let's make this a good outing
I'll update as we go.
List of people
who are going: as of 2-12-09

So we are going to start a weekly meet at Biff Buzby's Burgers joint in San Antonio. Its on Fridays probably around 6 or 7pm. As soon as we get more interested we'll set an exact time. Their address is 12702 Toepperwein Rd San Antonio, TX 78233 for anyone who needs to mapquest it.
At this point its pretty much only 3si guys but I'd like to see some from this board too! There are a lot of people who go on Fridays, sometimes its mostly imports but some nights its American, but we want to make it a regular thing. If any of ya'll live around here we'd love to see you come out!
PM me if you need more info or directions.

I know it's a bit short notice, but if it doesn't work out, then we can do it next Saturday. It happens every Saturday..
At Burlington Coat Factory/Conn's parking lot at the intersection of Westheimer Rd. and Highway 6 south there is a large meetup with a bunch of car enthusiasts, mainly ranging in age from 17-28, and there are all sorts of cars there. But not enough Mitsubishis!
If any of you are interested in meeting up there tomorrow night at 10, look for me and my friend John in the Conn's parking lot.
We normally park near the edges of the lot, and I'm in a '97 black Eclipse GS, he drives a silver '96 Eclipse RS but he is quite frequently late. We also have a friend who drives a Mitsubishi Mirage that we normally meet up with after we disperse from Burlington.
Like I said, just head over to the area and you can't miss it, there should be tons of cars and loud music there. My car has MF decals on the windshield and back window, so it's hard to miss my car. If you approach, just offer a handshake and tell me you're from Mitsubishi-forums.com.

12th September 2008 - 02:18 AM Last post by: Speedventures |
Speed Ventures has two big track day weekends coming up. On September 20 and 21 they're
running the Full Competition Course at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana (formerly Cal
Speedway). This is the "Roval" track layout with Turn 1 and Turn 2 of the Super Speedway
banked and linked to the Infield Road Course. It's a split morning and afternoon
schedule so you can drive in the morning and still have your afternoon at the beach or
sleep late and drive the afternoon sessions, or both.
On Saturday the 20th at Auto Club Speedway, there's a designated low car-count run group
for high value vehicles (Ferrari, Lambo, other Supercars, etc.). Half as many cars on
track, strict passing rules but with a max of 17 cars in the group, tons of wide-open
track.
The weekend after that there's a 3-day at Buttonwillow (Fri/Sat/Sun Sept. 26-28) with a
different course configuration on Saturday (the high-speed 18a configuration). For the
Buttonwillow event, Aaron is still offering group discounts to drivers who can bring in
at least 5 registrations.
Both of these events are selling well and some run groups are likely to sell out soon.
Info on both events can be found at www.speedventures.com.

So I know a few guys, myself included, who get pretty bored around here. Tyler isnt exactly the hotspot for... well anything really. its quite drab. I have talked to aforementioned friends about having a DSM/Eclipse/Car enthusiast meeting one nigh, just to see whos in the area and what they drive. If all goes well, we might do this sort of thing once a month; it just depends on how things work out. If this idea interests anyone, drop me a line. im going to see if we can get a big get together going some time soon.
