hello everyone, name is hiren, bought a 2004 limited endeavor back in the summer of 2003. Loving it to death, though, ive had only one problem(involved lightninng) shorted out my radio deck, got it replaced and its all good. I stumbled upon this forum looking for an answer to a question. I hope someone can answer it. How many watts is each speaker recieving from the amp? Im guessing 45watts since its 7 speakers with 315 watts, but i just want to be sure. And the specific ratings for the rear subwoofer, rms, peak, etc.? thanks in advance and i am glad to be apart of this forum

I would like to install a rear spoiler on my Ende. Remember one member bought one on Ebay. Saw that too but lost track. I believe it is a supplier in San Diego Calif. It can be painted to color-match. Pls. advise where to get it.

Here's a pointer in saving gas during winter driving:
Insert a waterproof cardboard between the grill slot and the radiator say 1'x2'.
In this manner your engine will warm up faster when driving. put this into the passenger side of the radiator. also for the first 5 minutes of driving be easy on the gas pedal bcoz the engine still cold and it's running rich.

Anyone thinking of getting a new SUV and a good value for your buck...try looking up the Endeavor Performance/Overall driving comparison vis-a-vis Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. go to their website:www.Mitsucars.com
In Asia and Japan Mitsubishi are trailing Toyota , Nissan in popularity in SUV & trucks.

One can achieve the optimum posted gas mileage if the "Adaptive Shift Control" feature is made used of. Here's some pointers:
a) when u first drive on the automatic mode check the tachometer make sure shifting between gears does not exceed 2K rpm (this is Soft-Driving)

Anticipate your Stop , City driving ,if possible, should be at least @ 40MPH at this speed the RPM should be less than 1500 RPM.
Lastly, avoid Lead-footed driving. Hard driving makes shifting between gears at higher RPM bcoz you are telling the computer to give more horsepower therefore more RPM equals more gas!!!! right?
In my case my average Mileage at t a 40/60% city/hiway driving is no less than 20 MPG could be a bit more when I have no passengers. To me tthat is 30% better than my previous 4 liter Grand Cherokee. not to mention the tamed and car-like driving. This Endeavor truly gives my money's worth!!!

Hi, I am buying an Endeavor in the morning after much shopping. I really like the Ls as it has what I need and the price is right.
The only concern that I have is that according to what I have read the 2004 model is the first Endeavor marketed.
Here is my question. Why are there people on this board that have questions about earlier Endeavors if Mitsubishi just started selling them this year? If this model has been out longer then why can I not find any ratings on the Endeavor in Consumer Reports?
I would love to read some reliability reports from anyone qualified to write them. If anyone has a source please email me.
One other question is about the extended warranty. How much is it and what do you all think about purchasing it?
Thanks!!

I just got my 04 endeavor and I love it. Im going to wait until the summer to get some 18's or 20's on it. As of now I am looking to install some clear corner headlight lenses but I havent come across any. If anyone here has seenclear corner lenses or might know where I may run across some it would be greatly appreciated.

Just thought i'd let people know that the traction control in the 2WD works great! I recently needed it when it dumped about 1 foot of snow in my area. i had no problem getting up icy hills or around corners and the traction control light was coming on constantly so it was very icy. no problem getting through deep snow on the roads before they were plowed either.
just to see the difference, i switched the traction control off and i was spinning constantly. i could hardly move. switched it back on and no problems.

Any Ende lover who cud give me technical schematics on how to install an after-market alarm system? I prefer to do it myself rather than by 3rd party.
This Ende i just got runs like a charm. I used to drive a Grand Cherokee then traded it with the Ende XLS awd. It is like nite and day.
Latest inexpensive stuff i added is an aluminum diamond mess for $20
installed as a chips protector on the lower radiator air port. looks cool. also, installed a factoryafter market fog lites. It is fully integrated to the factory lites system. it is a cinch as everything is factory pre-wired.

I recently purchased a 2004 1/2 XLS. I really like the dealer offered seat covers, but they do not have openings for front seat side air bags and state not to place on my seats. All after market seat covers are also not made for side air bags. Does anyone know where to buy some? Don't want to guess where to cut and sew openings for air bags.

Can you believe it??? When I say I’ve got 2 Endeavor at my home?

lol actually first I bought it for myself it was in reddish color. when my father sat with me he was greatly impressed.. all through our first drive he couldn’t just stop praising this SUV. He liked the warm feel of the interiors, the smooth ride, the fuel consumption rate that’s abt 20mpg in town, so he said he wants one of his own and now he has a beige colored Endeavor with himself too

hey…how is every body I got an endeavor as I am always impressed by SUVs, I purchased it three years back. But recently my younger brother purchased an eclipse he added little mod to the car and it is looking amazing really. He added exhaust in it a muffler, and lowered it little the car was already having 18” chrome rim. The most amazing thing about the car is its ground affects the green lights, its look surprising at night. That is why I am thinking now to get a car like this.

Hello everyone
I love my Endi. I usually get 20mpg in town with the AC on. I agree with fixer2000, not alot of punch. But if I really stomp on it, it goes. I guess I don't have much need for stompin'. What I like about it the most is the visbility. The mirrors are huge and there are practically no blind spots. Also, the stock radio/cd player is pretty decent. And the rear cargo area is way bigger than the Xterra, which was my other choice for SUV's.
