I have had my evo gsr for about a month now, its been parked mostly and I have not really beat on it yet (only has 500mi on it) I was thinking about trading for and mr so I drove it 70mi to the dealership I bought it from only to find that I like my gsr better anyway. on the way home at stoplights and low rpm I could hear a noise almost like a clicking/humming noise that increased with engine rpm...maybe I just never noticed it before, but I wanted to see if maybe it was just normal on these. It almost sounds like lifter tick, just not as loud.

I have looked all over for some one that might want to get rid of there evo 5 or 6 every where does any one know where i might be able to find one? and why are they so hard to find?

New to these forums but not new to my EVO!

I graduated to the Evolution from a 1993 z/28 which I had been driving and competing with since January 1994!

The transition has been an interesting experience!

How when launching my EVO-10 do I get rid of the studder step???!!!

I'm actually an owner of Mitu's Red Headed StepChild... an '03 Eclipse 3.0L GT, but I'm in need of some assistance from the Evo crowd.

I'm looking into some interior part swaps from your Evo's, into my Eclipse, but my knowledge about these parts is iffy, and minimal.

The thing that I am most interested in is the OEM MOMO steering wheel... My Eclipse and Evo VII, VIII, and IX's share the same AFTERMARKET hub adapter for Steering wheels, and I'm 95% sure that this swap is possible...
Questions:
What is the exact size (diameter), so I can compare it to the 330, and 350mm Aftermarket one's that I've had in previous cars?

I've seen the same MOMO Wheel in a VIII and a IX, so are they found in every VII, VIII, and IX, or just select models like the MR?

Anyone know a good place to get one, and a ball park price?


Secondly is the Recaro front seats... I've seen the Black/Blue (in a VIII), and the Black/Grey red stitched (in a IX). I'm certain that VIII seats are a direct swap into my eclipse, so of course i'm interested in these. Once again...
Questions:
Are these the only two versions, or are there others (like an all Black, etc.)?

Are the Recaro's found in every VII, VIII, and IX, or just select models, and how do they vary?

I know your turbo setup runs to the drivers side. I have a friend who has a stock mani and turbo and whatnot off his evo 9. I want to turbo my 4g63 NA. Anyway I can get his setup to work for my 92 eclipse? Just asking guys not trying to be funny or stupid. He said it was interal WG for 10 or 12 psi so I should be ok with that.

Thought I'd start a thread specific to the Evo X coming to Canada.
I found out from my local dealer that we are getting this car in Canada.
Great news. I will be one of the 1st in line for one.
I don't really like the red paint on the concept but I think this car will look pretty damn good in black or maybe even in white.


Any other Canadians thinking about getting this car?

I drove in some pretty hard florida summer rain a couple wks ago, next day the windows on the inside were all fogged up and I found the drivers side front carpet was soaked. thinking I drove through a puddle and water got in a spent few days drying it out. week later it rained hard again but the car just sat in the driveway, well the next day I got in it and same problem!!!
took it to mitsu dealership and suprise, they could find leak! he said a/c was not clogged. I noticed on here that heater core can leak? but im guessing they checked that and as it happened twice in the rain it wouldnt be that.
Im so mad, and now I will have to sell it if I cant figure out whats going on as the carpet will be ruined.
Anyone had this happen to them? I also think if its a leak it a slow one so the carpet doesnt get wet right way, hence showing them no signs when they water test it

Hello everyone, my sister just bought a 2003 Evo yesterday, she just brought it to my house and I am worried about it. I do like like Mitsubishi's, no offense to you or anything. I do not know much about them, I think she paid too much, and I need to know about the internals and stock boost.

This car has 70,000 miles. Paid $13,000. Has a BOV, different intake. Thats all I know. It has a Defi 3 gauge pod in the glove compartment.

Now my question, how many lbs of boost stock should it run? On the Defi boost, when he floors it it beeps and the red light comes on, and it spikes sometimes to 25lbs.

I am not 100% sure but I think it should be around 14.5 or 15.

I can get any pictures if needed, but I know that it should not be running 25lbs of boost. What is the max that it can run on stock motor and turbo, and what should they do from there?

Ok so everyone is on the same page here, Im really glad to have found advise. Mitsubishi has said they will relace my transmission if it broke first. They will not replace the clutch, which Im ok with that. My question to all who own a MR 6 speed. Have any of you had problems with 4th going out. One other fourm had 2 people who lost 4th and then 6th then reverse just like I did. They both replaced with 5 speed transmissions.
Im gonna just bite the bullet and go with a new transmission. Has any one used a Team Rip transmssion?

I bought a moded out EVO 8 MR with 9500 miles on it. I just hit 16,000 and the transmission is gone. It started with 4th and went to 6th and now the clutch is gone and Im not getting any help from Mitsubishi in any way???
I was told by Mitsubishi "Subsequent owners receive the balance of

Four brand new Evo X's have landed at Faulkner Ciocca Mitsubishi in Quakertown Pa. Go and talk to Kevin the sales guy about getting one. WOW, can't say enough. Right out of the box the car had fantastic control and speed. Recaro seats, sculptured cockpit-styled dash, 291 hp, 18x8.5 Enkei alloy 245/40r18 wheels and tires(GSR), Brembo brakes,etc etc etc etc....

I have to replace my clutch as it is on the way out.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks with putting one in? We are thinking that the easiest way to install it would be to take the whole engine out?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I was drivin last night down a gravel road and a piece of gravel frew up a knocked my oil filter loose and i dented and i lost oil pressure i threw a trip code for the oil pressure and it died a couple miles down the road from where it happened. I changed the oil filter and put oil back in it. NOW it wont start back up cause the oil pressure sensor is still tripped. What i need to know is how to reset it so it will start. There is no other damaged parts so that is not the problem

Any help would be greatly appreceated.

I just re-did my intake system with ETS parts, everything fit great, and really made the car run better, a lot smoother, and quicker pickup. just put 200 miles on it after resetting the ecu, and I can feel the difference. Check it out. Thanks ETS,

I recently put a K&N Pod filter in my evo 5, it only JUST fits in place, its a flat head cone shaped filter, and the top of it were the hole is, is almost completly covered by the fuse box since it pressed up against it...
I kinda figure this is bad, and am thinking maybe a mushroom shaped filter would fitt better ?

What brand should i look for. Price not realy an obstacle just availablity... New Zealand cant get blitz without overseas ordering

I ordered all the parts off antics22 (evolution.net) part list and follow his instructions, I made some small changes, he glued one controller on. I made a metal piece to hold mine onto the steering wheel, everything works, steering wheel voice control, New AWC switch, phone (voice control), and the new steering wheel Audio control.
dealer left out one button cover, it will be in Wed.

PS. I did not need the dealer to reset the computer, When I started it up first time the Nav system scan for new software and pick up the phone, and everything else worked.

costs 385.00 + tax CA 8.75%

Main issue Changing the pin location in C-31 plug, very hard to get pins out, take your time and a very small screwdriver.
