does any one out there know of a place were i could get a beter engine for my 04 ralliart. someone said that i want get alot of power out of my car cause it was a singal over head cam. any help will be good

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about engine swaping? Is it possible to swap a evo engine into a ralliart assuming the evo engine is the same year as the ralliart?

i have a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback which i adore, it takes us everywhere in delight - my dog loves to chew the trunk/boot -- it runs great for my needs, and i enjoy it quite a bit

but the fan (i believe) is running a lot, it makes that noise as if trying to cool the car down, way more than necessary, it has increased over the past months
the temp gauge is normal,
radiator has enough water
nothing else seem to be the matter
i am not a car expert at all, am a virologist of all things, so am perplexed, and before i take it to a shop wanted to know of any known fan/computer malfunctions linked to the fan and the model

my boyfriend says they wont see it at the shop and it will cost us money for nothing

another question, where can i find the technical manual for this car telling me what Preventive Maintenance schedule i should follow

Alright, so out of nowhere my car started guzzling gas. The oil was changed 1000Miles ago and I have no clue what else the problem could be other than the fact that I'm missing a bolt on my exhaust but I really don't think that would have any effect on the gas. Has anyone else had this problem on their 06?

I Have in my possesion the complete service manual for the 05 Ralliart. This Baby has everything you need from Removing and Replacing parts to looking up Wiring Schematics for the whole car and Infinity system.
Gives step by step instructions on removing an old part and replacing it with a new one. Gives instructions on removing all the interior panels and headliner and even the door panels. I know some people broke stuff trying to figure that stuff out.

I just got a 04' Ralliart and have an aftermarket pioneer deck out of my old car. It has the infinity sound package with the factory sub and amp. Has anyone tried to leave all the speakers the same and just change the head unit? If so how did it go, And are there any problums I should expect or should the new head unit just plug in and play?

I have a 2006 Ralliart, and the engine light came on a couple of weeks ago while on a road trip, and I've been getting extremely poor gas mileage. Approx 250km to a tank, running premium octane fuel. And when it idles, it sounds as if it wants to stall at times. and the exhaust smells really bad.

Any idea what is wrong? The nearest Mitsubishi dealership is about 500km away.

Looked at a lot of different versions but don't know which one has the best feel to shortness ratio. If this has already come up just point me in the right direction.

Just suffered through a massive snow storm, and my 06 ralliart needs a tow to a street that's had a plow go over it.. a couple streets over from where I live.

Are tow hooks only after-market items on this car? I don't have them, if that's the case.. so where can I safely attach a tow rope?

91' Civic hatchback...Light green..this car was super super slow...but it did have an exhuast system on it which screamed loud but went nowhere...went to jail and let my buddy watch my car and he messed it up....got out drove on the freeway taking my gf somewhere and the car engine blew up ....all up in smoke and everything haha

93' Toyota Mr2...I absolutely loved this car soooo much...i invest a lot of money into it..i enjoyed the rwd plus i thought it was cool how the engine was in the middle of the car..the only down side was it was very hard to fix the engine or add anything in...most of the mods for this car was in audio and for interior...i also did change the back lights to black and rounded lights instead...fell asleep on the wheel total loss on the car..sigh 7 grand down the drain haha

97' HOnda Del Sol....black..stick shift...b18b1 engine in it because the car was stolen and they stole the original dohc engine...just wanna say this new engine is crappy and slow which lead me to buy another car...

I have to ask a lot of questions on here because my car is thousands of miles away but I get *** for responses. I had to do all my own extensive research, no wonder why no companies want to make parts for us, we have people more concearned with what some young girl from NY looks like. Girls and cars dont mix, its one or the other **** it. So many people talk about doing *** to their car or that they go to the track. First you need a stick and second if you cant beat people at redlights you shouldn't go to the track. I can make any a piece of crap seem fast. Maybe I should have gone with a spec v or acura integra type s cuz they actually make parts for them and just dont spin the tires like crazy.

Brace bar, will it work on ralliart?

Will running a small oil coiler damage the egine since it does fine w/o it and there isnt a thermostat to close off flow? N/a engine

Anyone swear by these? Will es lines work on ralliart? Will evo lines work on ralliart?

Just wondering, I run 205, 45, 17s. Nexen (cheapo's) $55 a piece.

I've found them on many different sites made out of diff. materials. All are not painted, I just want to find a nice used white pearl rear lip for my 04 ralliart, is that too much to ask. Its seems cheaper to put on a rear body kit instead but the only one I like is the gtr body kit.

Definitely have to change out the stock clutch line and restrictor. I have more sites saved somewhere, I will add them later. Still working on a new rear bumper lip, thinking of a body kit but has to fit right and then I have to pay to get it painted. RRM is still the only one to make a pulley.

so i'm vacuuming out my car today right. i get to the floorboard on the drivers side and i'm getting up under the pedals when i notice a lil piece of plastic under the gas pedal. i push the gas pedal down all the way to see if it hits it and......sure enuff it does. the thing is threaded so i take it off and go for a drive. believe it or not, it helped quite a bit. anyone ever seen anything like that?

I was just thinking of upgrading to slotted and cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads but was aslo thinking of switching out to better calipers like brembo or endless or something. Or will evo brakes work?

Bought my 04 Lancer Ralliart 5spd back in August 06 after coming back from Iraq for $14000 with only 12k on it completely stock. First thing was to throw on a 3.5 in muffler, then a k+n filter, then 17in 10 spoke black racing rims with nexen tires, going to take switch to Hankook soon, then put in a rrm cai, thats it for perforamance, not going to bore you with other stuff.

This car is my baby, the most important thing in my life besides my neice and nephew. I currently run valvoline 5w30 synthetic oil and upgraded spark plugs. My first time in metropolis IL, and I decide to have fun going down a skinny remote dirt road at 35 plus through the woods. I let her get a little loose around a turn on hard pack dirt with small loose gravel on top and thought it would be easy to correct, man was I wrong and overcorrected off an 10 embankment thank good only into weeds and brush but the rear end of my car bottomed out and completely flattened my muffler tip closed and pused it over 5 inches. My car stalled ouot and took a little while to start after spining around 180 degrees at about 30mph. I was lucky to get out with relatively little damage, took 3 hours cleaning her up, but the muffler melted an inch out of my bumper. The engine code read crankshaft positioning sensor, but when I took it to the dealership they said it was good to go and the code was clear and havent had trouble since.

My car tops out at 129 at about 6100rpm, believe me I've done it multiple times, handles pretty well at that speed and doesnt take too long to get there, pretty quiet too. I took it to the track a couple times, best was 10.5 at 80mph in the 8th mile, redlining 3rd gear.

My next upgrades WILL be a complete ss clutch line, an act racing clutch, light weight flywheel, pulley kit, rrm headers and downpipe, and short shifter. Was considering supercharger but changed my mind. I will aslo put in the black angel eyes headlights, any tips on this?

drivin home from PA, TX on friday. raced 3 different cars, it was fun.
the first was a BMW and older body style, real boxy lookin. it looked all stock cept for the headlights, but it had shaved emblems (i shortly found out why ). i pulled up and didn't even look over. he smoked my **** off the line. actually he smoked me up until 4th gear (he missed it). Started to catch him, he was ahead by like half a car then he left my ****. it was only close cuz he missed a shift. m3? 5 series?

I wanted to know if anyone knew if it was okie to interchange evo parts with my 2004 ralliart? I've been looking for headers for the car, but have not been able to find any. If anyone could help i would really appreacaite it. Also i'd like you opinion on the ralliart and what you think i could do to improve the performance. thankx
