Hello all,
I have just brought a non running 1995 2.0 V6 GR FTO, Could anyone assist in telling me all common faults with this vehicle and not starting?
It turn's over spark is superb, seems like it want's to go but just hasn't enough something!
I sent the ECU to a fantastic company in Isle Of Wight, AVILEC to rebuild ECU as i was informed it was a common fault especially as the 80amp fuse was blown/Bypassed under the bonnet.
Has anyone got a fuse/relay board diagram telling what they all do aswell.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Regards Tike

Looking at this conversion at the moment and wanted to know if it's been done before. Any advice on gearboxs and engine mounts much appreciated.
Looking at either early 70's 1.6L Colt or GTO.

Should also add looking at the v6 2L FTO engine.

My GPX had been off the road for a year as I was out of the country. During this time, it had a new battery and was started up and run (but not driven) every month. I now am back in the country and wanted to get back on the road with it, but it now cuts out whenever I take my foot off the accelerator. The car was started and driven around for 10 minutes without a problem. I stopped for petrol and it was then that the engine would not stay running if I took my foot off the accelerator! It still starts and runs but only if the accelerator is pressed. I tried to increase idling speed with the screw on the top of the throttle body to no avail, but noticed the throttle cable was very slack. If the cable is held taut the engine starts and runs fine. Can I adjust the throttle stop screw to hold the throttle slightly open to rectify the problem?? I've read this problem could be caused by the stepper motor, but could it simply be a problem with the throttle cable? Can anyone offer any advice please?

I've got an FTO GR, and new set of spark plugs to go on it. I need to get the exhaust manifold off to get to the back 3 out, and it looks like that'll help with the front 3 too, but it looks like a right **** of a job to do! Anyone got any instructions, diagrams, etc. to help me out? Kind of urgent too!!

I'm only getting 300 miles on a tank full of petrol with my FTO GR. Only had it for a month or so. Is this right as it doesn't seem too good to me? I'm not raking it either.

Hi,
I am a Newbie and need help.
I am having a problem finding a SVA Model Report for post 1997 Mitsubushi FTO GPX.
Does anyone know if one exists in the UK, if so how much to rent.?
I know 1995 cars can come in without the SVA on the 10 year rule but what about 1996's is there a seperate Model Report for these.
Any advise welcolm,
Setapsell

Hey to all mitsubishi fans out there. as my topic description states i am looking into available Modifications for the FTO. not just as the standard 2.0L 24-valve versions but i have also heard that the Galant/Legnum VR4 2.5L 24-valve Twin Turbo engine will fit into the same engine pinnings with a few mods to redirecting a few of the origional pipes!
I am also wondering if there is a possible 4WD/AWD conversion available.
Curiosity prevails as to the range of mods available in regards to:
-BodyKits & other exterior Styling
-Wheels
-Suspension
-Interior Styling
-Body Stiffening/roll reduction
-Engine/Power
and any other that are available
My aim being to make an FTO that is Extremely fast and powerful, Amazing to look at, exeptional to handle on all types of the black top but also road legal.
Any Information will be thankfully recieved

I've set up a chat room on a IRC network called BeyondIRC..all forum moderators could be given op status via channel protection services to remove any umwanted troublemakers (via bans) etc..even if no one is in the channel it remains open and protected at all times.
if anyone would like to join follow these instructions
go to www.mirc.com and download the small application called Mirc
this link
http://mirror.public-internet.org/mirc/mirc616.exe will start the download automatically if you wish
once installed run the application, you will be presented with somewhere to enter a "Name", "e-mail Address", and "Nick Name" just use your username from here for the "Name" and "Nick Name" boxes and a bogus e-mail addy will do ie: nobody@nowhere.com...although it cant be seen by others anyway
next from the list at the left of the box you will see the "Connect" tab is already highlighted...click the next section down which says servers....from just underneath where it says "IRC Server:" click the box and select the "BeyondIRC: Random Server" now just underneath there click on "Connect To Server", you will prob see a lot of odd text scroll past just ignore that.
next in that window that should be now full of text type this /join #FTO
and press enter
thats it you should be in
the channel is Moderated and you will be auto voiced on connecting...just another feature that allows you to silence people if they cause trouble and filter out bad language if wanted.
