bought a good starion rolling body dirt cheap
Im having a real hard time finding a manual gearbox for it
Anyone know what else might fit?
looking at putting another engine in so somethin diff is ok

heard an l200 gearbox might work if i make up a cable clutch pedal
any others?

I was woundering if any one know where I can get my hands on these bolts. With out paying a 200$

i have to get rid of my baby. the body has NO RUST !! does have some hail damage on top near sunroof and dings on pass door. i have a complete matching pass door. Interior is in good shape has 87 style seats i still have the 88 seats. it has less than 2000 miles on fresh rebuild and clutch. the P.S. pump seaps a little only leak anywhere. has the following new parts and upgrades:

the bad:
cruise control doesnt work, rear defog not working, needs new oil sending unit, a/c belt is off so im not sure if it works or not, r/front wheel has very slight bend but not noticable driving. could use upper strut bushings. ( they squeak )

I saw one of these cars at a local Pick-a-Part salvage yard. The yard mechanic said it was an 89' Conquest and the front wheels are 16X8. Could someone tell me how much this wheel weighs?

just a quick hint....

if you changed your injectors , clips , mass air sensor , etc. and you car still kind of buckles or misses while your driving , try changing the distributor ... i thought the air flow sensor was messed up on mine ...we changed the distributor to fix another problem and it ended up fixing this one

no guarantees but try it out...it might work

Hey I'm new to the Starion/Conquests and was wondering if I could get some help. I just put a new head on my Starion and I'm having a heck of a time getting the cam timed. I know where the tdc marks are on the crank shaft pulley and timing cover. isn't the pin on the cam just suppose to be on the top or the bottom?
Any help would be grate!

i am currently rebuilding my G63B sohc turbo 8 valve 2.0 litre (redtop) A183A starion Gen III Gsr motor. i am after the engine specs and factoy tollerances eg crankshaft size's main and bottom end bearing sizes, torque settings for bouts etc.
dose anyone have them in one of those haynes manuels or know a english website with them on.

The thing ive found unusal is the my engine clearly has G63B on the block and i thought they were all 4G63Bt engines, i know theres a diffrent jdm , euro, aus and japanese models. but mines a jap import model with a redtop engine in it. i thought these only came out in the euro models? is this correct and has mine just had a engine transplant along its life somewhere.

Hey! I have a question and i am hoping you guys can answer it. I could be gettin this weeked a 1985 mitsubishi starion esi turbo. Comes with 170 hp stock and 220 ft torque. Now the guy wants 1200 or best offer.. he says there is nuttin wrong with it is a 5 spd new clutch new header new radiaiter new everything pretty much as far as engine. He says it has a small dent over the driver door but u can hardly see it but it needs a paint job. i have looked up this car and they say it is a really bang 4 your buck. It is actually a race car that in the future was made into the eclipses. hmmm anything else yall need to know jus type back....1985:

A friend of mine has a Starion. I believe it's an 87, or 88. It's red and a it has a wing on the back (top of rear window). He says that it is a 4cyl, 3.0 liter. He says that is was a limited production. I have not been able to find any info on such a car online. My friend has been known to over exagerate at times.

The only info i could find was about 2.6 liter starions.

Was there a limited edition starion made with a 3.0 liter 4 cylinder engine?
