Is the Blitz BOV gonna work, if I install the HKS EIDS (electronic idle stabilizer)?
Coz i know some of the EVO have the same problem as the Colt CZT, once they installed the BOV. As one of my friend installed the EIDS into his EVO... it works fine.
Well, I have got the stuff and gonna try it in the next few days, hope i can get it work. (cross my finger)
Also I have an idea about the location of the ecu, and the ecu wiring diagram. But to make sure, can someone give me the link or tell me where i can find the information about it. Thanks
Brad

hi, i'm new here and I would like to know if anybody else has problems getting into reverse gear.
The car is a new (6 months) cz3 1.3 and i've took it back to the garage (brindleys A5 staffordshire) and they say it's a common fault and I should first put it into 1st gear then into reverse gear otherwise the gearbox "crunches"
is this true is it a common fault and i'm being too fussy over a new car?

Hello everybody,
i have two questions for you:
first: can somebody tell me what is the difference between colt CZ2 and colt CZ3?
second: i have new colt with 5dr. 1.5 engine and allshift gearbox for three months... the equipment in the car is different than Inform and Invite... it's with 4 el. windows, leather steering-wheel, 2 x isofix, 1 driver airbag, semiautomatic climate control, central door lock with remote control, ABS with EBD, High mount stop lamp, Rear seats with 60/40 split, fold, tumble, slide, recline and remove features, Immobiliser, Power steering, side and front bars and mirrors with the colour of the car, manual external mirrors, 15" 195/15/50 tyres ...
it's tottaly different then the other packages... can somebody tell me what a combination of equipment is this package? it's not inform, or invite, or instyle.....

OK this is probably the stupidest Q ever but cut some slack for the newbie...
I have a 2004 Colt and can't work out how the rubber wiper blades come out. I need to put new refills in. Do you need to use pliers to pull apart the metal "jaws"? That seems like a dumb, not to mention time consuming way of doing it. My previous car had these plastic clips on one end of the wipers - unclip them and the blades just slid out. My Colt has me stumped though - the user manual is useless!
And I've just realised that the wiper refills I bought are too short (by like 2cm!) so I'm going to have to buy new ones. Dammit!
I'm not having a good day. lol

Has anyone come across this and know the reason and how to rectify it? The car is still under warranty but the nearest dealer is miles away so if it is something simple I can sort it myself , Thanks

"Mitsubishi will unveil at Frankfurt Motor Show the 2008 Colt, best-seller status for Mitsubishi Motors in the region. Since Mitsubishi launched the Colt, in 2004 there were 205,561 cars (3-door, 5-door and coupe-cabriolet included) sold. New Colt has successfully re-established the “Colt” nameplate in many a major European market, like Italy (9,122 units for CY2006 / + 8% in Europe’s largest B-segment market) or Germany (20,129 sales for CY2006 where it commands a 3.5% market share in the segment)..."

Hi Guys 'n' Gals.
I have purchased a Smart Brabus Forfour (yes i know a mitsubishi in a different look) but i have questions on 'Full Induction Kits'.
I have already found a tuner which will up me from 177PS to 200PS in germany, but i want to add a decent induction kit to make it breath even better.
Love the look of the new Green Induction Twister Kit, But I dont think the application will work.
Let me know what fits as of today and i will have a look, any pics would be a bonus????????
I shall be lowering with K&W suspension.

Hello
I just bought a mits colt 1.1 (06 reg) after months of problems with my other car, I wanted something reliable and problem free. I bought it from Mits dealers. when i test drove it i noticed a rattle in rear (high up). i mentioned this to dealer and he promised to get it sorted. when i picked it up a few days later it appeared ok and ipaid. He told me he didnt know what the problem had been and that the service bloke was on his break which made me uneasy. A few days later the problem returned. I took it back and the mechanic told me he had thought it was the rear seats. On inspection he said it was to do with the tailgate (loose clips maybe?) and that he had done something but if that didnt fix it he would have to replace the panel? Anyway it didnt sort it and its worse than ever and driving me crazy. I now feel sick when iget in the car because its stress i didnt need. they have ordered a part to sort it but i dont think i can drive it anymore and may drop it off tomorrow and ask for a courtesy car
Aside from this its difficult to get into 1st gear and often crunches in reverse ( ive read on the site about this) which i didnt notice when i bought it
And to top it off although they promise they have serviced it and has FSH etc the service book didnt come withit. The salesmanassured me its because it didnt come with it and they have ordered a duplicate from Mitsbuishi or something but its been five days and still no sign
im very stressed and thoroughly p'd off, i will never buy a car alone again.
Anyone had similar issues re rattle and service book or am i just a total dork
please be gentle with comments iveposted on sites before and been faced with unneccessary abuse
Miss S

i have a CZT, is not good when i'm riding at top speeds and have to brake strongly, it's unbalanced, it pushes to one handside and the other, aswell, but that's not it's fault, in turns at high speeds i have to brake in straights, but i think that's his weight. what i'm trying to say is, don't get to enthusiastic on high speeds unless you have lots of room, you may not be able to stop it... I'm starting to think in safety before i tuneit up even more(already 185bhp)

Hello readers,
One of the things I like about the CZ3 is that a quick touch of the indicator switch, switches on the indicator lights three times.
However, I would like to change the default number to 4 or 5.
I know this is possible and it is probably stated in the workshop manual somewhere. Which I do not have
Is there anybody out here who knows how I can change this?
Greetings from the Netherlands,
Ron

Hello everybody, 1st post on the forum!
I have a 2007 1.1 CZ1 Colt, which is great, apart from a couple of worries:
Firstly, just sometimes after the car has been running a while and has warmed up, under acceleration, the engine develops a 'rorty' roaring noise, partly hiding the 'zingy wheeze' which I am used to. (Sorry for the descriptions!)
Also, only really on the couple of cold mornings we've had recently, upon starting, the engine clatters like an old diesel for the first 5 seconds or so before settling down, and is also slighly clattery on moving off just for the first minute or two. Is this possibly the oil in the engine not being ready, or does the chain cam slacken when cold?
If the second problem is just one of those things than I can live with that, but the first noise is a small worry. It doesn't really effect performance, but is just a worry by the fact that many times it isn't there.
Could anyone give me any hints on what might be happening?
Thanks,
Dave

Hi
Help wanted. I live in Turkey and drive a Colt 1.3 2005 model. My problem is this. I can move the rear seats fully forward and and fold the back rests down but I can't roll the seat forward. I gave tried the lever at the back of the seat but no joy.
My Turkish is hopeless and the dealer is 3 hours away. I really need to lift these seats so I can remove the carpet at the back to clean off an olive oil spillage.Any help will be most appreciated.

[attachmentid=4690]i have owned quite a few mitsubishis over the last few yeasr and mostly space stars, now that the space star has been discontinued ive been looking around for a new car as mines nearly 3 years old.
after my space star went in for service i was given a colt for loan car but wasnt too impressed as it was a small tiny 3 door with a small engine so i decided to look at the lancer but i didnt like it!!
whilst dropping off the loan car i spotted a czc in the showroom and went for a look and the sales team took me for a test drive with the roof down and it wasnt too hot neither
any how to cut a long story short i will be picking up my new czc next week in oriental orange with orange trim
the dealer was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the whole experience was fantastic so i hope i dont get my knucles wrapped for mentioning them on here
only 6 days to go!!!!!!!

I don't like the single piston for the CZT and have been searching around for an upgrade. I want to know if anyone out there has the knowledge or experience of installing the 2 pistons caliper from EVO 1,2,3/VR4/FTO or the 4 pistons from the "Super Car"? I think the diameter is the same, but I want to know if the caliper will bolt on or do I need an adapter.
Does anyone know? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Hello everybody,
I have a Colt Cz3 1.3 invite SR for 3 month and I have a problem with a noise which comes from rear seat. After some effort to find out what occurs this noise, I discover that this noise comes from right rear seat-belt when I go over a bump.
Have anyone this problem?
Additionally, when the car accelerates slowly I have a different noise from the same place. The same noise appears just little before the car stops.

Hi Everyone!
I have a Colt Invite 1.1 (proud owner bought last week)

I am very happy with it except for the CD/radio/trip Computer brightness level.
The radio/trip computer display is pretty dim. The manual says that I can adjust the brightness levels.
I followed the instructions and have set the "Brightness +6"
I can barely see any difference if at all from "Brightness 0"
Is the display usually dim or do I have a faulty unit?
Share your thoughts with me
Thnx,
Jackie

Greetings to all, from a newbie. I have just purchased a 2006 CZ3 DID ex demo. I am assured that there is an alarm fitted, as a dealer fitted option. Short of trying to break into the car is there a way I can tell if it has been fitted, there does not appear to be any flashing indicator that I am used to on previous vehicles, although as this is my first Mitsubishi I cant compare.
Many thanks for any help, regards, Richard

Hi there.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with what I suspect is a silly query. I've just bought a Colt 1.3 (05 plate) and when I get in and turn the ignition there is a beeping noise for a few seconds (sounds like it's coming from the dashboard somewhere) then stops.
I don't think it does it everytime I start the car (but I'm not sure), and was wondering if anyone knew where the beep might be from. I wondered if it was something to do with the immobiliser or maybe went off if the door was open etc. but I'm a bit worried in case it's something important.
Thanks for advice in advance, to what I hope is a silly question!
Great forum BTW.

Hi, i recently bought a new colt 5doors, and i'm really pleased with it. I do have on e question though, concerning the stock radio/CD. When you browse the menu, there's a certain TP-S function you can euither set on or off, but i can't find anywhere (not in the manual, not by searching google) what this function is for (my guess is it's got something to do with traffic announcements, but what exactly this does is not clear). Does anybody know what this TP-S function is good for?

Ok well hello to you all...
I have just bought a brand new Colt and Im looking for some inspiration with the stereo system.
I would like to upgrade the existing system to an MP3 player, either by completly replacing the CD head unit for an MP3 player or by adding an MP3 changer to the existing head unit.
The only problem is that I would still like to be able to use the stereo's steering column controls and the cars centre display console. I know that normally you can buy modulators to enable a person to continue using these functions, however I am having problems finding anything for the Colt.
Can anyone help with a friendly point in the right direction????
thanks

I've just joined the forum and want to say Hi to everyone!
Can anyone offer advice on how to remove the factory stereo unit from my recently purchased 2005 Colt? I have removed the glovebox to gain access to the rear bulkhead but cannot see an easy way of getting the unit out! I want to remove the factory single DIN CD player and the underneath tray to make room for a new double DIN system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, DC
