Actually sounds like a different problem than just the normal "why are the lights flashing or not?" In no way are the lights related to throttle position. You must have a cross-over short in the system for this to happen. Have you done any re-wiring work or installed anything new recently?

Thanks for the reply!

We bought the car very recently, we have not installed or rewired anything, but the previous owners may have.

The car does have an after market stereo.

No other obvious extras installed.

After more careful inspection:

the orange diff selector light lights starts flashing as soon as the ignition is on but only starts flashing quickly above around 30-40 km/h

or possibly around 2500 revs can't be sure which, but it only does the fast flashing when moving not stationary above 2500 revs.

Thanks!

Mark and Alice.

Sorry I have to pass on this one. Only reason I can see is something with the relay which controls the flashing lights is bad and possibly shorted to something else. Best if you post up this problem in the main part of this section and see what responce you get. Many users do not look at these stickies very often as they are generally used for reference only.

Service Maual

PS: The top questions are;

1/ I want to find a service manual for my vehicle?

I just purchased a service manual from company in Michagan. If you follow this link it will be the 4th one down. http://www.autorepairmanuals.biz/site/5736...ID=217452844022.

It took me a good year of searching off and on to find this.
