i have a cold air intake, and a cat back flowmaster exhaust, but my cat was stock, my engine has more than 122000 miles on it and it was time to remove my cat, i didnt want that loud hi pitch sound so i didnt want to gut it. so today i whent and had a thrush hi flo cat installed, the sound of my exhaust got louder, but im not sure if theres was a performance effect.does any one kno what would have been a better idea for my GS, Gut the cat, Remove it completely or did i make the right decision by putting a hi flo cat on?

Hi flo reduces back pressure so you probably lost bottom end but you gained top end 1-2 hp.
And go get a header that should help ya low end and new cat act a little better.

Yea what he said :)

I'm getting one next month since a high flo cat helps the top a bit more so no since trying fool myself into thinking my car is ever gonna be a true tire burner because I know that the 420a N/A is just a top end motor anyway and me personaly I'm gonna inhance just that part of the power band since it's the sweetest spot for power as I spend most of my time on the freeway looking for my prey
