2007 endeavor- i bought a key on ebay from "remotehub" for a 2007. it did not work. had a replacement sent, and it did not work. went to dealer, they advised the chipset on remote was wrong. remotehub no longer responds to my refund request, don't buy from them!!!

I just purchased a spare transponder on ebay from chapstick4. It was $13.85 plus $6.99 shipping. chapstick4 showed a 100% feedback rating, having no negative comments, one neutral comment, and many positive comments. I will reply to this board with my experience in programming it after I receive it. Thanks to all the others who have provided their informative experiences.

I was hoping that mikkojay (Mike, the originator of this post) would post another picture of the instructions. I cannot read the original picture due to it being so bright, so white. Mike - would you kindly take another picture of the instructions for us? (The second picture you posted is darker and readable. But it doesn't contain the actual steps.)

I've received my new key, but am hesitant to program it without clear instructions. Due to other posters reporting that they can't program their new key, I'm afraid that if I don't do it correctly the first time, I don't get a second attempt.

OK - programming successful for my '04 Endeavor key.

My local Wal-Mart refused to cut the blank key for me, claiming that they didn't want to take financial responsibility of anything going wrong. My local Ace Hardware gave me the same negative response for the same reason. However, I "discussed" (that is, lightly argued) my case to the Ace manager, claiming that there was no way I could ask for any financial reimbursement if they cut the key incorrectly. She finally gave in. After the key was cut, I asked, "now what do I owe you?" To show their "we're here for our customer's satisfaction" attitude, their response was, "a smile and a handshake." I thanked them profoundly and walked out with my newly cut key. (They reminded me that they sell the programmed Mitsubishi key I wanted...for $70!)

I found the programming instructions in the Owners Manual, and the rest is history.

Brand new to this forum as we just picked up a used 2004 Endeavor. I too was looking for an extra key when one of the two that we had went missing. Luckily we found it and I was off looking to see what it would take to make another one when I ran across this forum. Great information! One thing to add is that there are a few kinds of 2004 Endeavor keys. There is a letter on the original key such as 'N', 'A' or 'R' that has to match the replacement or it may not work right. Got my spare on eBay, had it cut at the hardware store and got it programmed, all for under $25. Thanks for the heads up on this.
