Hey all, just wanted to post a pic of my Lancer VR-X (GTS Equivalent here in Australia) debadged. Completely clean now.

I took the "VRX" and put it inside the car, where the carbon fibre trim is, on the left side (passenger side over here).

(PS: Ignore the big "L" plate. lol! I haven't converted my Malaysian license to Australian yet)

As for the exhaust kit. A friend of a friend just found me a really experienced modding shop here. He's going to get me an HKS Carbon-Titanium full exhaust kit, from the extractor onwards. It will be fabricated and customized for the 4B11. Also a Cool Air Intake system. Will be getting the **** done sometime late Dec or first week of Jan. I'll post more when I get more info.

Edited: picture size

lol sorry. i didn't realise it was that big at first. i only previewed it in windows. I'm at work right now (considering were like 14 - 15hrs ahead) so I'll take a pic when I get home, which is probably in like 5hrs... *sigh*....

So what do you think though, with the debadging done? I used Dental Floss btw... and NO hairdryer, or heat. I wouldn't recommend this though, if the car isn't bran new. My car was manufactured in Nov, and I bought it in Nov. I'm guessing the sticky **** didn't get too much in yet.

well, if you had it for 5 months, I think you have no choice but to make the sticky stuff soft first with a hairdryer etc. You could do it in stages, like hair dryer the left portion first, then dental floss it, hair dryer middle, dental floss it... etc.

But it would be hard getting the goo off I would think. The Lancer wording was easy off, but a little goo. I managed to take everything clean off with my fingers, it just peeled of in one piece since I guess it wasnt stuck on hard yet.

As for the VRX (or GTS for u guys), it came off CLEAN without anything on the car. the sticky stuff was still good too, which is why I managed to stick it inside the car.

I did that on my old Breeze on the trunk and doors. The car was about 8 years old when I did it (white paint), and you still couldn't really see any traces after I took all of the emblems off. The ones on the Breeze just came off by pulling at them, then I removed the excess glue with a cotton swab slightly dipped in nail polish remover - that took a few days cause I did a little bit at a time not to damage the paint.

I'm thinking of doing that to the Lancer too eventually. I like the clean look better.

Hi sorry to resurrect an old thread but, anyone willing to send me their de-baged emblems from the Lancer. I'm interested in the 'LANCER' badge and any other that you have and don't need anymore. It would be great if you have the EX and the GLS badges as well but if you dont then its cool!
