New Starwagon Owner, need some advice Options

hey guys,

long time lurker 1st time poster. my friend and i have recently aquired an 89 8 seater starwagon. so far we have installed a massive sound system, fixed all the dents, smoothened out some unessessary joins in the bodywork and now have it primed and ready for a gold pearl on black paintjob that will be finished this week. weve also lowerd the badboy 100mm courtesy of steve-o from these forums..

now we looking at getting a set of rims, the only thing we are confused about is the offsets, basically how wide tyre/rim can we go with what offset? the back seems like there will be no problem but it looks like the front will have some difficulty fitting wider rims. anyhelp? ps we are looking at 18" wheels at this stage.

also where can we find information on converting the carby setup to fuel injection, is it easy to do, has anyone here done it before and whats involved? looking at plans in the future for turbocharging, or is a complete 4g63t swap from a vr4 a better option?

Hey dude, im new at this, but just went through the whole wheel thing with my 1993 GLX 2.4 Starwagon. The standard rim offset is pretty close to 36mm positive front and rear, and the centre bore is 70.5mm The PCD is 5 in 114.3. In other words, most Ford Falcon wheels will fit just sweet. I have a set of BA falcon 16 x 7 steel rims with caps on mine. I think you could get away with 6mm positive on the rear without too much drama.... As for 18", why not tuck 20" ??

As for the turbo, get in touch with YBY aka John. His starwagon is an absolute rocket. Take it easy. Happy slammin.
