has anyone just popped a hole in the bottom of the evap tray and ran a tube through the firewall for an easier fix. then when it clogs up you could just pop a wire through to make it drain in the future, because pulling the evap is a pain in the butt.

The drain on my '05 must have been a little weak from the factory. The first person to get in the passenger seat after I used the A/C wondered why the water was so deep in the floorboards.

The dealer fixed it and my guess is that your method was their solution.

This is obviously a problem for endevors as we just had our 2006 at the dealer for this issue. I have also talked with others that experianced this and some more then once. So I would say some reengineering is possibly in order.

The service manager indicated that the entire dash required removal to repair. He further indicated that they make adjustments to attempt to ensure it does not happen again. I would aussume probably something like your suggesting.
