Hello!
I'm the proud owner of a Space Star 1.3 from 2002.
Unfortunately I have the bad habit of leaving things on the roof, which made me lose both a mobile phone and a bunch of keys.
Now I'm missing my remote for the central locking system - but here in DK, it's extremely expensive to buy a new one.
Does anyone know what the price would be in the UK orin other countries in the EU?
I also wonder, whether any non-original controls are available?
Kind regards from Mogens, Denmark

Hi,

I cannot help you with a replacement fob, although the Mitsubishi dealers tended to fit the Cobra system if it was an optional extra fit on a new or recently new vehicle. That fob was nearly circular, black with two grey buttons, and a rubbery grey strap to hook onto the key ring. If that describes your old fob, then you could buy a new Cobra system complete for around £70 and simply find the old control box, and swap the boxes over, and then have two new fobs! If that sounds expensive, then there are cheaper alternatives. I am using a Chinese made system from RightClick, which comes with two fobs of varying styles. This has been fine for 10 months now. Those sell for around £25 to £35 with postage. It would only be a matter of finding out which wires on your current box are which, and splicing in the new one. They all work on the same principle, regardless of make. If you think you have such a system, and can tell me which make it is, I might be able to tell you how to do the swap in more detail. If you can find the box, probably on the blind side of the lower driver's side dash panel (two screws, two clips ) then it may have the brand name on it. If you go to this trouble, note all the wire colours, and their order into the control unit.
The other good reference would be the workshop manual as obtained by looking at the "pinned" part of the forum. There are wiring diagrams for vehicles with and without keyless entry.

Good luck
