I posted a question a few days ago and got no replies. I sorted the problem by myself, thanks. I then looked back and there have been questions posted years ago and still no replies. I hope they got their problems fixed and did not wait too long for some help n this forum. Is it that those who frequent the forun do not know the answer or that they can't be bothered?
As I said in my post, I previously owned a Toyota Hilux Surf. The forum I used to help me was fantastic. On more than one occasion I had taken something apart and come across an unexpected problem. I would come inside, put my query on the board and have a coffee. The answer was usually posted before I finished the first cup.
I won't be using this one again as I cannot wait up to 4 years for a reply.

Andy

Welp, i hate to do this to you because you sound like an older more respectful member, but here goes. We are not here to spoon feed answers. We are here to help if we so choose. For any member to expect an answer immediately or soon after posting a problem, is just crazy. Also, as you can tell, there's not many Space Star members on the forums, and that may be for a good reason. Maybe consider that the average owner of a Space Star is not cruising Mitsubishi-Forums.com day and night. Just maybe.

Andy,

Consider a few things; there were not many Spacestars sold in the UK, and those that were, have been reasonably reliable, so not too many people will be looking for advice, and fewer still will have it to give. The vehicle is now three years out of production, so the number of people with Spacestars is dwindling, and will continue to do so until there are none. Yes, you go onto a forum for a current vehicle sold in large numbers, and you can get advice very quickly.( the best I've ever seen is Briskoda ), but for Spacestars, I'm afraid this is as good as it gets. I'm going to persevere with my Spacestar as long as I can, but I won't hold my breath for a reply on a forum for this niche type of vehicle, and more importantly, I won't get huffy about not getting one. You have to realise what you are getting into, when you buy a second hand car, and I knew with the Spacestar that it was a big leap into left field, ie you are more or less on your own, more so than any other vehicle I have owned. Still a great car!

Good luck. Loz

Hi there...
I, myself, am new to this forum and I`m glad I found it. The SpaceStar is a unique leftfield great niche of a vehicle and because of its number on our roads then this forum is as important, if not vital to keep us Mitsi SpaceStars onwers happy!

Admittantly, Andy, I had the same query you posted about your Fuel range stuck at zero. Alittle disappointed you had no replies, but remained hopeful for an answer. Actually I visited similar posts and old achived posts and found the answer in resetting the battery. However the coumputer display unit reset of it`s own accord.
Lets all endeavour to keep this forum not only an aid to ****les and mechanics but also an aid to discuss and explain this lovely car!!
New onwer of 3weeks!

I've found over the years if you don't get an answer on a forum it's your Karma.

Next time try answering 3 questions before you post yours.

Another thing you can do is go back and answer the question you asked if you found the answer. Then when someone searches they will find it. This forum will only get better if everyone contributes, that means you too.

actually andy has a point. i enjoy this forum for the people and the off topics area, maybe some learnin from past threads every once in a while, but honestly getting questions answered here is like pulling teeth. ive noticed as of late that most questions here are for REALLY new cars and most of the time its "should i turbo this" or "where do i get a decent stereo" not very tech info here. like i said i do enjoy this forum, but for technical info i go elsewhere

OK it's my Karma! Is that under the bonnet or in the dash somewhere. Don't answer half of the question. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bwekk.gif)

As I had only bought the car a couple of weeks before, I was not in a position to answer any questions. Are you suggesting that I am not allowed to ask until I have had the car for long enough to know all about it and be able to answer questions. Defeats the purpose of the forum does it not?

(...and why does a Mitsubishi dealer drive a Honda?)
