i have a problem w/ my RVR. when i switch on my OD then step on the brakes to stop it makes a loud thud. but when i turn off the OD it doesnt make that sound. what could be the problem. i suspect the gearbox but im not to sure? pleasssssssssse help. any ideas?

I'm not sure how the OD works but do know these cars have common tranny faults if the fluid is not regulary changed. I recently did mine and the mechanic said the fluid was apsolutely disgusting and the flush removed allot of sediment from the oil cooler.

After replacing fluid it has never worked better and I recommend doing so if you have not done. Do make sure the right fluid is used as many shops unknowly try to substitute another type and end up ruining the tranny.

whats a tranny? is it that ATF fluid?

Sorry tranny = transmission
fluid = ATF but Mitsis use a special type somthing like Dextron III 2.
