There isn't such light on a Mitsu (does any any other has it???). You just have to know when it was last done and it again by 60k miles (50k miles, you really want to play it safe).

Generally its 100kms or 5 years whichever comes first. Look around the engine bay and bonnet to see if there is sticker from a previous owner doing the work. Nearly impossoble to tell if it has been done by inspecting belt. Best to speak with your mechanic at WOF time and deterimine if it needs doing and cost to replace. Other things you ussually replace when doing belt include;

-tensioner beariing
-idler bearing
-water pump
-oil seals

Not a job for an inexperienced owner to do. Be informed about the balancer problem on this model as it has even caught experienced mechanics.
