the silicone ones are very good and very expensive. these usually don't go bad on these cars because they aren't a true "harmonic balancer." They use a rubber ring between the pulley grooves and the pulley body. unless the ring has completely corroded and the pulley part fell off it should still be ok. my guess would be you have bad front and rear trans mounts

nah my mounts r good. but im about to put in the urethane inserts on them. idk. it just shakes the shit out of my car when ideling. also between 3-4g on the rpms. its a lil annoying. lol i wonder if when the guy that rebuilt my engine messed up that rubber ring. hmmm. yeah i found the silicone balancers and they r pricy. i would still have to put that rubber ring on even with that silicone balancer huh. dont know what to do. also i figured if i was going to change the balancer i might as well change the under drive pulley. looking towards orthodox. i hear good things about them quality wise.

Unless he did a clutch and flywheel swap from a different car wouldn't balancing a modular clutch be difficult? The "flex-plate" isn't really thick enough that I wouldn't want to try to balance it. At what RPMs does your car idle at?

yea, modular clutches are prebalanced. there are some aftermarket non-modular replacements for the 420a though.

it idels between 600-800. i have a fidanza clutch in it now that mitsubishi put in. i figured they could get it right. it shook a lil before the new clutch but i put the urathane mounts on and i notice it more now. i put the top mounts on just not the bottom ones yet.

If my knowledge is right you should be idling somewhere around 800 - 900 rpms so if it idles at 600 the idle is to low.

Where can you get a non modular clutch for the 420A cars?
