Drives: 1998 mitsubishi galant
Help, My car is needing to be inspected in March and my engine light is on, so I went and bought an OBD2 reader from wal-mart and comes to find out that the port is dead.

I have read about adding an aftermarket radio might cause the problem , So i unhooked my radio this morning and still nothing.

I have checked fuses.

Do I need to put the factory stereo back in maybe?

Please help...
