I have an '04 Sportback Ralliart, 28tml on the clock and in the 7 months that I've owned it, I had not ran into really heavy rain until yesterday (that's TX for you). I was not pleased with the results, because the vehicle is practically un-driveable. I can't drive down a straight piece of road that has any water accumulation on the surface without the tail end beginning to oscillate and try to wiggle out of control. If I hit a crack on the pavement that runs parellel with the road, the car will pull violently with the direction of the crack. I have a set of normal size Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge tires with excellent tread on all four corners.

It feels to me like the rear suspension is not 100%, that's the only thing that makes sense. Do these things have weak spots down there that I should be checking out?

you might have some bad set of tires, try a different brand. i have firestone firehawks and they have been great! if the tire you have are original tires there was a post where they were crappy tires! but i can be wrong, hope you find a solution!

It could be the bushings on the suspension or allignment or something

Could be a number of things...
Have you had your tires balanced recently? Are your tires fully inflated?

try sandbagging the tires. Especially if it is light in the back.
