I have a couple of , HOPEFULLY, minor Electrical probs.......when I put the tilly into 4X4, NO lights come on on the Dash...could this be a blown Globe, & if so, easy to replace?? Or could it be a Wire off the Gearbox or something???

Also, there is this neato setup on the Dash, with Altimeter, Angle thingie, & inside & outside Temp Gauge....WAS working, suddenly it dont....any ideas, please?? I am very new @ Tritons.....Thanx in advance....Ratt.

bulbs prolly on the indicator, could be loose/backed out connectors on the multi function display, could be printed circuit. try just impacting the top of the dash, means loose/poor connection. bulb flicker means bad bulb

no access to wiring diagrams in the USA for that model

Well of course not NWM TECh no Tritons in USA. First things first in the passenger area fuse panel check the gauges fuse, there is one that should say "INST" and also "GAUGES" , One controls panel lighting and the other Meter function in the panel. On Tritons , 4x4's alot the instrument cluster would lossen a little after time sumtimes causing the coller grounding pins in the plug in to not have good contact. Remove the trim that surrounds the instrument cluster. And see if all the retaining screws are properly securing the instrument cluster in. Remove the ones that are there , also remove the cluster assembly , and try to match sum retaining screws, to the ones that were there. Also yu can check the bulbs in the cluster and see if any of the lighting ones are burned and replace them.

If all is well and retaining scres are there , fuses are okies , bulbs etc, then yu can go to check 4WD actuation. On the center transfer case and diff yu can make sure the ( V5M43 , V5M51 manual transmission) dual plug in left side housing above case. Check to make sure the plug in isnt corroded or broken wires or loose connector plug in.

On A340F(Toyota derived ) , AW340-LE ( Aisin - Toyota - Mitsubishi) and V4AW2 , V4AW3 , V4AW4 , V4A43 , V4A51 (Mitsubishi) There are 2 connectors on top the rear of the transfer case above near where the rear drive shaft exits, and one on the sidfe the frunt drive shaft exits ( sum V4A43 and V4A51 late have one large multi connector depending production date) The AW340-LE and A340F does not have the 3rd connector.

Lastly yu can check teh actuator connector at yur frunt differential .

Well i wish i had a diagram to show yu but i dont. Where the instrument cluster is , the black finished frame is easy to take out. On the inner upper side are going to be 2 Phillips head screws to remove, the bottom section will pop out. Be gentle tho. Sum models have the gauge dimmer on the trim panel thats being removed so unplug it. After yu remove the black finishing trim that surrounds the cluster , there will be 4 screws holding the cluster in place. Yull need a long phillips head screw driver and after yu do that gently pull the cluster forward , then tilt the back down to remove it

Well if yu are positive that the bulbs arent burnt , then yull need to check teh wiring harness at teh diffrential case and the frunt diffrential actuator to make sure they arent loose or damages
