I need some major help.. I want to know if this is something I can fix myself or do I HAVE to replace my engine.

Engine: 1.5L Automatic 4 cylinder, the 2nd cylinder head gasket is blown. As a result its burning a lot of oil. The problem has been going on for some months now. I have 167K on the original motor.

Can I fix this without having to get a whole new motor/trans put in?

As far as motors, what is the largest motor that can fit in this body style? Its the 1995 4-dr sedan S. Can I get bigger than a 2.0? What would I have to swap to get at least a 2.0L in here. What could the 0-60 be for these tuned right with a turbo?

does anyone know where to get aftermarket parts for these like spoilers, bodykits, foglights, etc.?

This car was a gift and I've been wanting something I can build up. I was looking at the 89-92 Probe GT Turbo. Would the Mirage be worth it to put the money into? I know the GT Turbos can be built up pretty fast. Also are there any more forums out there for the Colt/Mirages?

If the head gaskets been blown that long it's going to need a head re-work. With that mileage might be better to just put a Japanese crate motor in it (google). Don't know about performance, engine swaps, but I would want a manual shift, although that's pretty difficult to change.
