Questions About My Lancer Gts Options

Hi everybody, I am new in this forum, i have already introduced myself in the new members are.

I am from MEx. City, and i have my Lancer since Nov last year, its a GTS 2.4L, I Love this car. But I have a couple of quistions, And I couldn't have found information in Mex forums. Here I found the answer for some of my quistions, like the noise of the engine, the noise in the tyres, an other things.
But i still have others, hope you can help me.

1- Most of the times when I am driving, with the driver's open window, i feel in my hands and in my legs, specially in legs, some kind of heat, comming up from the bottom of the car, and if a drive with the windows up, sometimes it feels hot inside the car. I have the ventilation closed, so I dont know where could that heat is probably comming. Have you feel this sensation. At the end I always have tu turn on the A/C to counteract the heat inside.


2.-I have noticed that the A/C compressor makes a lot of noise, and I think the compressor turns on a lot of times in a short time period. For instance, I put the lowest speed in the fan, with the temperature in 24 celcius, the compressor turns on every 13 seconds. Is this normal, or could be something wrong?

I cannot answer your second question as I have not noticed that issue. I will, however, look into it tomorrow when I am driving (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

As for your first question, that is normal if you have the AC unit set to suck in air from the outside. If you don't have the 'recirculate' button pressed, it is actively taking in air from the front of your car and thru to the interior of the vehicle. I personally like this setting, especially in the winter because I can have the temp up to hot but have the unit OFF, but it will still supply me with enough heat to keep the car warm but not so much that my fuel millage is impacted. If you do not like that, I would suggest recirculating the air by pressing the button in question. It is not recommended you do this when it is humid or there is a large temperature difference between the interior and the outside of the car as this will result in fogging of the glass. The alternative would be to set the temperature to the cool or neutral level.
