Hey just baught my 09 lancer. I want to start with the sound, I like to get informed first tho!.
Is there any rca outputs on the stock cdplayer HU on the lancer se? Like in behind or something? And if so where should i put the power through the firewall.
If there isnt any RCA's I could just tap into the back speakers and mono style it right. Trying to keep the factory built in HU. I like how it looks.

There are RCA outputs on the models that have them, they're located right under the AC controls in that little open compartment, you'll see them hiding behind a plastic cover with AUX on it.

Regards.

i thought those are for input and no there are no stock rca jacks on the head unit. you can buy one of thoses little boxes that lets you splice into your rear speakers for like 10 bucks.

To run a power wire for the amp, there is a hole behind right front strut covered with a rubber plug it fits 4 gage wire perfectly. I cut a hole in that tubber plug to protect wire from rubbing against bare matal, u will need to drop the glove compartment to reach the wire from the inside of the car.
If you want to keep the stock deck, most of the amps come with a special harness that lets u tap into a speaker wire to get the signal.
But i suggest an aftermarket deck. My Alpine IVA505 sounds amazing with stock speakers, i'm not even considering to change them they are that good.

You can use high-level input if you are not going to change the HU. if you have the rockford system then unplug the factory sub, open the sub and trace the wire colors to the + and - for all four wires. As far as i know even if you dont have the rockford system all cars are prewired so you can still use high-level input for your amp. If you need to know the wire + and - let me know and i can get them for you

I plan to use the same method for my vehicle, keep the stock navigation and use the MTX REQ-5 to add some amps to my radio and an EQ.
