I own a Lancer Wagon 1.6 GLI of 1998.
It has manually adjustable mirrors which I would like to replace by electrically adjustable mirrors.

From my old Lancer of 1995 I disassembled the electrically adjustable mirrors and the control switch.

The mirrors I have seem to fit the 1998 model mechanically. I did not yet try to assemble them because I was looking for the electrical side of the story first.

I could easily place the control switch in the 1998 car. The connector for it is present in the harness and it fits well.

Then I opened the cover of the door and: did not find a matching connector (despite that the harness seems to be prepared, see the connector of the control switch).

Question: is there an adapter cable needed between the normal harness and the mirrors? Or do I just have to forget it.
