Looking at buying a evo zero vr4 but cant find out if its a genuine (evo 0). Not just a vr4 or rs vr4, a genuine Evo 0 or Evo 0 rs.
Its degered but has been on the road and it has a clean police report.
How can ya tell? i no e39a is vr4 and e38a is for the rs models.
plates are - ARD450. chassis no.-E39A-0027353 and origional engine number is 4G63-NM8206.
Ive run the vin tag and plate numbers but it haven't had any luck finding anything stating its a genuine evo 0.

Is this correct, All Genuine evo 0's :
Are only made 1991/1992
Have 4 bolt rear axles
leather interrior
Does it state 'EVO 0' on the rego tag?
does it state it on the firewall?
How do you tell because everone calls their vr4 a evo zero, when they arnt. There is genuine evo zeros. Evolution vr4 galants.

Can someone help.

I have no idea wut yu are talkin about. Firstly , NO Galants were ever referred to as evolutions , that i kno of. Evolutions were a packaged model used later on Lancer's that used a carried over and then refresshed version of the Mitsubishi Galant VR4. VR4's were produced in Thailand and Japan , to my knowledge these were the onlee countries that produced the VR4 models , sub models not having AWD were final assembled in UAE and AFRICA.

Galant VR4 models were produced between 1986-1991 in Japan and Thailand and exported between these times also. In Japanese market and Thailand with a handful of asian which the car was exported to , the last 4G63 VR4 was in Thailand and Japan 1991 and 1991.5 And other asian markets as 1992 VR4 , and also in america was carried over as a 1992, while the same body minus all teh sub models carried over until 1993.

In Thailand and Japan in 1991 the new 1992 Galant model using a V6 (and a Proton badged model in Malaysia) debuted alongside the last of the 1991.5 Galant VR4's. VR4's did have sub models starting in 1988. Which was a Ralliart model . Then a VR4 LM in 1989 coniciding with an VR4 LM and VR4 MR model being produced between 1990-1991.5 which superceded the VR4 GSR , by adding more standard options , and 1991.5 MR having side mount charge air coolers , full power options and adaptive adjustable air suspension. Well there is a section here where i had put all this stuff up.

I do not believe that LM's or MR's left Thailand or Japan , did show up in UAE and Africa. NOt many MR's were in Japan because they exceeded the HP cap. There also was an AMG model, wasnt very popular. Ralliart models did make it outside of Japan. Most as "Enthusiast " models.
