I have a 2001 eclipse gt. The radiator keeps "blowing" antifreeze on the valve cover. I have replaced the hose clamps on the hose coming of the top of the radiator going to the engine but no luck. I thought it could be the radiator cap but it doesn't really look like the drops of coolant on the valve cover are coming from there. Any Ideas?? Thanks

Reading this forum tonight with hubby. He suggests checking for a blockage. One way to tell is if maybe your overflow tank is not lowering at all or by taking off the radiator cap and running it for s short time until it reaches normal temp and seeing if things are flowing. Could also be a bad block seal.

Another thing to think about is why is it "blowing" Is the cooling system building up too much pressure? Something else you might want to think about is a blown head gasket. Are there any other symptoms, engine running funny or anything?

first place to start --- have the cooling system pressure tested

did u check the radiator itself? could be cracked
