I'm going to replace my plugs and wires soon. I have an after market air filter on there, in the process of de-catting it, and have a throttle body spacer. I was wondering what wires and plugs to get.

It's a 1993 Non-Turbo 3000gt. I want to get it a little faster, but I understand that it wouldn't get near the Twin Turbo models.

Plugs and Wires

Is an10.2 MM wire too much for my car? Should I stick with an 8.5MM? All I've seen on 3SX are the 8.5s. But then I noticed a 10.2 on E-Bay.

I'll be honest, I don't fully understand the wire size in correspondence to more horsepower. I think it has something to do with a better burn, but not too sure.

Thanks for your time,
Eric Martindale.

msd makes 8.5 wires for a 3k

I have recently upgradded my plugs and wires with those ebay vision plugs. They were selling NGK platinum plugs and the 10.2 wires for like 76$ or something. I like them.

I haven't been able to purchase them yet. Right now, I'm painting the rims Graphite with a Red Stripe to match the body.

I figured the spark plugs and wires would still be there when I'm ready to change them. I also want to get the red hose kit from 3SX to dress up my engine bay a little.

So you like the 10.2 Wires? Not funny electrical issues or anything? That was one thing I was worried about.

No problems with them yet. I have had them on for about 2 weeks now and everything runs great. They seem to be good quality. The Ebay seller has many plug/ wire combos. It's cheaper than getting them separate.
