so the car started acting up a few weeks ago sounded like the starter would spin but not shoot out i pulled the starter off and hear a sound cming from the tanny like smething metal hanging when i rock the car... when i take left turns i get a grinding noise out of it wih no starter in it.....im pulling the tranny off today to inspect...i hade t starter tested and it came back fine...there are grind marks on the nose of the starter. could the flywheel be grindin it away?

Is the flywheel torqued to spec?

alright got my tranny pulled and came to the shocking discovery the the 8lb fadenza flywheel i installed has failed me...the ring of teeth is bolted on and the bolts came loose resulting in the ring to come apart from the flywheel...you dont wanna see what the bolts have managed to do to the flywheel and tranny case. like a min wolverin went crazy inside my tranny...what lesson have we learned here? tack weld the bolts to the ring then balence...

well.....when i google fidanza flywheel failure.... i get quite a few hits......on lots of different kinds of cars and flywheels....

As with anything that is mass produced, there are always duds. Just contact Fidanza and they should handle things. I have heard of this happening many a times. Same with clutches. ACT and clutchmasters have their duds also.
