I bet it hurts when it goes off (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

Seriously though, it might have an air inflatable lumbar support in the seat but I doubt that it actually has an airbag. I haven't heard of one having one anyway. Maybe someone else can chime in.

There are no airbags in your seat. I agree with Hebination that it is a lumbar or other type inflatable support. Cars only have the crash type airbags in the steering wheel, dash, and now the side doors. You will have to deal with the seat sensors though or your seatbelt light won't go off properly.

i wanted to put in the sparco roadster seats. but i think they discontinued them.
i think going to buy some momo seats though ive been looking at a couple different ones.
and yes i plan on putting harnesses in after i get the seats but i will probably just roll around with the oem belt because those harnesses arnt cheap. lol
i am really confused though because on my seat it says srs airbag. its like embroided into the leather by the headrest.

but this is my eclipse im working with

It is on the seat because they are advertising that it has SRS airbags in the car but they aren't in the actual seat.

ya, there's no air bag in the seat! anyways ya you should probably keep your stock seatbelts in till you have the harnesses and the bar to tie them to installed. just dont be the guy that takes your stock ones out then start putting in the bar behind the seats and the harnesses, you might run into trouble then have to put your stock ones back one if you need to use the car.

The ones that it says on the seat actually have an airbag in the seat. It's a "side" airbag that deploys from the seat in the crash. Only a few maufacturers have side airbags that are mounted in the door for the actual side airbags. But yes side airbags are either mounted entirely in the seat or in the door itself. And the 3g eclipse had a seat mounted side airbag. Side curtains are always mounted in the side of the actual vehicle itself closer to head level to help protect your head in a side collision.

probably, but like the check engine light when you mess with your exhaust, just get used to it. Ive been rolling around like that for years. not the best advice, but as long as it doesn't bug you, it doesn't hurt anything.

If you're going aftermarket seats then yes your light should come on. But if you're switching them out for a different style 3g seat that also has the side airbag then you should be ok. But that's just a guess. but more than likely your light will be on.
