* The magna would not start after a brief stop. would turn over but wouldn't start. RACV trailered it to garage. had it 4 days, testing. couldn't find faults. * 3-4 months later it happened again, so we took it to Mitsibishi, Benalla. They checked it out, said it needed new battery. That fixed the problem, because they took terminals off old battery which re-gigged the computer. * Six months later, same problem again in Wangaratta. RACV Wangaratta called, took positive terminal off, put it back on, and it re-gigged the computer. .... * Our local mechanic has machine to test computer. With ignition switched on but car not running, he set the program, and two-thirds of the way through the program, all dash lights went out. He concluded it had to be computer. It also seems to start when its put on a downward slant nose first on a slight hill for some reason rather than nose up the hill or flat. It happened again 2 months later and taking the leads of the battery to re-boot computer worked again i think, however I had to turn ignition key on then immediately off then immediately on again and it started. However, when I took it to a Mitsubishi dealer mechanic on port rd in Adelaide, they said it couldnt be the computer and did a service. They adjusted the idle level and increased the charge from battery to ignition as they said it fluctuated from ok to too low to get an ignition. They said that they cant find what the cause is as when I take it in its working so no faults show up on heir computer testing. They said I need to bring it in when its not working to be able to find the problem on the computer. Does anyone have any idea what going on with my car? regards T
