I have an 01 eclipse gs. The sunroof recently has been shuttering when it opens, when it close's its closes smoothly. The Sun roof doesn't leak at all. And when it close's its seals down so tight that i have to push the sun roof button, pop it up a 1/8", then hit the button again.

Also since ive had the car the rear trunk lid fills up with water when it rains. Theirs no leak stains in the trunk or the back seat, but the lid becomes a resivour for water and when I open it after a rain, water drains out the sides were the two plasitc panels meet. Someone told me it was the spoiler gaskets, another told me the rear window gasket. Is this something I can take a part, get into the lid with a caulking gun and seal off all the seems?

My sunroof shuttered on both 3g Eclipses I've owned so far. My first one my dad fixed and he lubed the track with something.. I wanna say he just used Vaseline.. lol It worked fine after that.

As far as your other problem, sorry can't help you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Eclipse sunroofs will always have problems. They are crappily designed.

Make sure your drain holes aren't clogged up in the trunk, those are the two holes in the channels on both sides
