so whats the worst thing that can happen to you during winter when you lower you springs? (1.5-2 inches)
and how much is a reasonable price of a lowering spring? ive found one on craigslist 220CAN installation included T1R S-coil! my friend said its dubious and i shouldnt risk my warranty and performance during winter (IMG:

I don't think it will hurt performance. Lowering your car improves handling, which should help in all driving conditions. The reason I'm still undecided of which to get, either Eibach Pro or Eibach Sportline or maybe the Works springs is because of the clearance I'll have at the front end and driving in deep snow or snow drifts. I think this is something you might want to consider. Right now, with my splitter I have 8 inches clearance in the front and 7 inches on the front side (in front of the tire). To get 8+ inches of snow in a storm here is common(heck anything under 12" we don't even consider bad), but it isn't the norm to drive in 8"+ snow, usually the snow plows clear the way decently, but it does happen, especially on some the the back country roads I drive on and snow drifts across the road can be 12"-24" easy. I'm worried that in the blizzard, deep snow condition where I have to drive to work or something that with low clearance it will make it hard to drive, especially with my splitter.
So I am definitely going to drop it, just haven't decided how much yet. If I went 1.7 or 2" on the front, that would give me about 6" clearance which concerns me seeing as the splitter could act like a shovel and build snow up in the front. I'm going to drive in the snow for a little bit and see how the splitter does, then decide.
As for price: anywhere from $180 - $270 is a normal price range for good lowering springs. The Eibach's I'm looking at are $208 and $227.
