I remember reading that somebody put one of these in, since they got a double din stereo.

I just got a double din stereo/gps and was wondering if anybody has pictures of an automatic with a shorter shifter, so that the screen is visible at all times (especially park). I also need to know what to do with the overdrive button.

Do you have a small "shifter" ? We can help enlarge your shifter and give you many nights of pleasuring your wife or girlfriend.

www.enlargedshifter.com .. Paypal accepted .. no credit necessary

(Sorry I could not resist going "off" on this one).

Please excuse the post .. I do hope someone will respond more seriously. Like JB a few nights ago (mod) it's a holiday and I've had a few as well. Hope you had a good laugh and holiday.

Automatics do not have "shifters" they have "Selector levers" They are completely different and noone makes a aftermarket one. It would be pointless as the reason for installing short shifters in manuals is to shorten your throws. You don't mess with the selector lever when driving a auto, so no need for that.

I know, but what I am saying is that there are no companies who make one, so there is no way to do this aside from cutting the stick yourself.

Excuse me for using the wrong terminology. You obviously knew what I meant. And companies do make these ...

Does anybody have this^ or somthing like it? I would probably get a less expensive one, but this is what I am looking for.
Do you think the overdrive button would work? It lists some makes, but Mitsubishi is not one of them.

Did you think about maybe contacting the manufacturer?

All you have to do is buy a shift knob from auto zone and a shift boot ... take your old one off ... "rig" it up to work so that the knob goes down instead of pushing the button to get it to go from park to drive ... its not hard just gotta use your brain

I just did this to a friend of mines G35 ... took all of 10 minutes

He has an automatic. No shifboot needed, and I have never seen one of those like posted in the link. As for OD. It probably does not support it, however, the only real way to tell is ask the manufacture. and btw, that is just the handle, it will in no way effect the height of the selector lever.
