Hi, I have a 2005 Endevor and I can't get the key out of the ignition. The key will not turn all the way to the lock position. I have had everything apart trying to fix it. By some fluke I took apart the steering column cover and I did get it to turn to lock and come out, but the next time I put the key in it is stuck again.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

sometimes keys will lock into spot if your steering wheel is turned a certain way. they also won't start if that happens too. some kind of locking mechanism

just turn your steering wheel both ways while trying to pull your key. (even if its power steering, you just gotta muscle it and the key will come out)

Well I tried the steering wheel twist and no go the key will not come out.

It seems to me like it does not know it is in park so it won't let you take the key out.

Does anyone know if there is a switch that has to make when you shift into park to let the key turn all the way to the lock position?
