This is for the 2002 Mitsubishi Galant ES. I am not sure about other models this will work with. Possibly the 2001 Galant?
Other Keyless programming instructions I have are for the 3000gt. So PM me if you need those.

Not all cars use the same remotes. Some even look identical, The difference is the manufacturer of the remote was different on different models during different years. Some are Denso and some are omron. This programming sequence will work on any 99-03 Galant or 00-05 Eclipse.

Hi;

I just did the programing on my 2003 Galant and your instructions worked except the part (ensure ignition switch is off), my ignition switch had to be "on". I programmed 2 remotes and they both work great. Thanks for the instructions.

Does anyone know the programming routine for the 87-93 6gen Galant range? Regards -Andrew

Ground is on pin 4 so you can connect pin 1 and 4 or somewhere on chassis

Same for me. Make sure ignition is "ON".
Worked like a charm.
I wasted 15 minutes trying to make it work with ignition off.
Thanks for your posting.

By the way everyone. A paper clip will work for connecting pins 1 and 4.

Peace!

so i tried both ignition on and ignition off... with a paper clip attached to lead one and four. and followed the pressing instructions as many different ways possible. but still no luck!
maybe i need a lil more clarification....

ignition on or off BEFORE or DURING?

PRESS the hazard button six times,
or
TURN ON the hazard button six times?

when its stated to press the buttons with __ seconds or __ min, does that mean press the button and wait til the __ seconds is passed from first pressing, or just get it done within that time?

what would be recommended to connect port 1 to 4 with, instead of a paper clip?
