QUOTE (racetearoffs.com @ Sep 29 2009, 04:25 PM) try james in middletown ny for tint 25 or so years tinting my brother Thanks for the suggestion, but its over an hour and a half both ways, so its not really worth it just for tint. Any other suggestions closer to the Danbury, CT area would be much appreciated. Is 20% too dark for reversing? I think I'm definitely doing 35% on the side windows because I really cant afford a ticket, and to have it redone if for some reason I get caught. I just don't know whether I should do 35% all around or 20% on the rear window, sunroof, and strip across the top of the windshield. And once again, please post some pictures of your ride!

QUOTE (EclipseRS205 @ Oct 1 2009, 10:41 PM) I pretty sure Eclipses don't come stock with tint, someone put it on. Because here in PA lower than 75% is illegal. Get the 20% on you hatch, sunroof, and little triangle windows. Get 35% on side windows. I had got 15% all around on mine. Made the car look a lot better. But of course I got pulled over. He gave me a form that I had to get an inspection place to sign after I took it off. He told me I could have whatever on any of the other windows just not driver and passenger windows. It's not worth paying the money to later on just tear it off. Make sure you get it done professionally though. Don't want the purple tint look. Yeah, I'll definitely have it done professionally. What do you have now? Anything? You have any pictures of your car? And how was 15% at night? Because if my car does have some tint, like 70%, then the hatch would be just under 15% if I do 20% on top of whats there.

Has anybody tried replacing their backup lights? I found these LED's ... http://www.extremestyling.com/Eclipse-back..._source=froogleSo if these are brighter then I'll almost definitely go with the 20%. I hear so many people say they wish they went darker, but not many say they wish they went lighter. My major concern is for driving at night, but this may solve the reverse issue. At least a little maybe. I really want to go with the 20%, but its such a tough decision.

I had the tint on my old Eclipse before some guy pulled out in front of me and totalled it. 15% at night was fine. You definitely can not see in from the outside. Backing up was a bitch though. Had to put the window down.

Alright. As of now I'm planning on 35% tint o driver and passenger windows, and 20% on rear triangles, rear window, sunroof, and sunstrip. May change, who knows. I'll post pics when I get it done. I talked to my friend who has a 3g, so we're gonna get it done at the same time. He knows a guy who does it, so it will be cheaper.
Still want to see pictures because I know I'm going to be going back and forth up until I get it done, and really want to see what it looks like on the 2g.
