Not the cat-back, no. However, you cna use the muffler and either: 1) Go to a local exhaust shop and have them compression bend (or mandrel bend if they have the ability to do so) you some pipe 2) Go to http://www.mandrelbendingsolutions.com/ and have buy the required mandrel bent pieces and take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld them together or 3) Go to a JY and find a cat-back off of a TSi FWD or a GS-T and it will probably be just as cheap as your friend is selling his.

i already got the SS header, test pipe and 3" downpipe, i want to get the 3" SS catback too, but there are not that many for the FWD ones, all the one i see is for the AWD, the one that will fit mine will come with like 4.5" tip, which is too big,i don't like that, because it looks to ricer but i think i will have to get it then, just bolt right on. any exhaust out there sound decent but not too ricey ?

Just get a nicce muffler (Magnaflow street series is best for teh 1.8 since it is a resonated muffler, but still has really good flow) and a high flow ccat (I used a universal magnaflow unit) Then go to http://www.mandrelbendingsolutions.com/servlet/StoreFront/ and get the sections of pipe you need (You will probably have to do some measurements first to see what exactly you need. If I remember I will look under my car tomorrow and let you know, but my hsort-term memory blows!) and then weld them all together and install them to the SS header. EDIT: OOPS! Didn't see you said you had a test pipe already! In that case, don't orry about the cat, but still get everything else.

i installed the SS header and SS 3" downpipe already, and also gutted the cat, of course the stock smaller pipe won't bolt to the 3" downpipe, but i welded a 3" flange to make it a direct bolt on for now, but the stock muffler is so quiet, didn't even know that it has header, downpipe and gutted out cat, it feels like it has a little bit more power, the 3" SS catback was already order. maybe by next week end i will have the whole exhaust system done, how much power could i gain from the exhaust do you guys think, like 10, 15 more ?

It is N/A right? If so, gutting the cat was a bad idea. That creates turbulence. Get a test pipe or a high-flow cat to start. I normally don't suggest anything higher than 2.5" pipe on an N/A car, but since you already have a 3" header and 3" collector, then go ahead and get 3" pipe all the way back. if performance is your main concern MAKE SURE you get mandrel bent pipe and not compression bent pipe. Compression bends create alot of resistence. If you are looking for affordable mandrel bent pipe and can't find anyone who cna do it near you, measure what bends you will need and check out http://www.mandrelbendingsolutions.com/servlet/StoreFront/They have very affordable mandrel bends and shipping is affordable as well. Remember: The less bends the better. You want your pipe to be as strait as possible to reduce resistance to a minimum! Lastly, let me know what kind of sound you are looking for and I will help you decide on a muffler.

okie just to let you guys know, i installed a complete 3"Stainless steels from tress relieve header, downpipe, test pipe, catback from CXracing, sound decent, no loud like civic, feel like it gain a few ponies, i dislike the muffler section though, i think they welded the hangers backward or something, it wont fit into donut of the stock location, and looks like it hanging kindda sideway, not saggy or nothing, my buddy with the fully built 2jz supra loves it though, i think i'll let it goes like that. so the exhaust work is done, the 3kgt brake upgrade will be next week, what else do you guys suggest me to do next ? beside 16g turbo, i'm thinking of getting a Maft translator and a 3" GM MASS, will it do me any good ? my goal is to get 200hp @ the wheel , 91 TSI FWD, 4g63t weighting less then 2,600 lbs, is that too much for asking ? i'm on low budget, to many toys

This just makes for a louder noise between shifts. If you get the MAF-T it has SMALL tuning capabilites, but they are less than that of the SAFCs and is much more expensive than them as well. If I were you, I would just get ECMLink (v3 is the only version so far that has this feature) and remove the MAF all together.

ECMLink is the new name that came along with V3 of DSMLink. It is a semi-stand-alone tuning device as you send in your Eprom ECU (MUST be an Eprom ECU) and they socket it for the chip adn add the ECMLink chip to your ECU. This adds the ability to hook up a laptop to your ECU and tune it using the ECMLink software provided with the socketting/chipping service. It is the best and most feature rich tuning option available to DSMs. Like stated above, check out dsmlink.com for more info. Once you purchase the service, you gain access to teh dsmlink forums with all kinds of info regarding the software and hardware.
