hi i dont have a lot experience but as far as i know all of them has those vents broken - a dealer told me so
also there isnt a reason not to fit in yours but you need a passenger airbag as well (for the extra hole)
but that on e-bay seems with broken vents also
regards

The dash vents are not part of the dash itself. However, you do need to pull the entire dashboard in order to replace the vents.
Besides, the one in the auction, has cracked vents anyway. They're pretty cheap from the dealership. Call up Cherry Hill Mitsubishi, in Cherry Hill, NJ. Tell them you're a 3si member, and I believe they still offer a 30% discount.

3si = website. 3/S = car.

They offer a 30% discount for being a 3si member. Don't require you to give them your username or anything, just tell them your a 3si member. 3si members alone accounted for a majority of their parts sales, and I think single handedly put them at the top one or two dealerships in the country in parts sales... so yea, they offer a discount to those memebers.

i read quite in the service manual as i want to convert my SRS to the new version.
i strongly believe that the new version dash panel will fit on old version so called gen 1.
i wouldnt say mitsubishi change the chassis for new panel mounts but forgot to change front bar,
which is much easier for the new headlights
