I got the new key and got the truck started. It idled poorly but ran. Then it ran and drove great minus the poor idling. Then it started to stall out while driving, and the ecm relay started to click then the engine will die, it will restart after a few minutes of ccooling. I read here that the idle control valve might be bad so i replaced it with one from the junk yard and it idles better but the ecm relay will start to click and eventually the motor dies. Is there a problem with the relay or the ECM?
Mike

Yes that is a classic symptom of a failing Mitsubishi ECM . If yur driving and it runs badly and yu can hear the MPFI relay clicking and so on , yeah. I would say yes it would likely be the issue.

Thanks for the reply. That is what it needed I bought a rebuilt one and it worked great with a idle control valve from a 1992 maghtymax.
