yeah I know what you mean! lol this may sound like a crazy idea but what about converting an eclipse to run on LP and then adding a turbo. Because according to Smog law's you dont have to smog your car if it's powered by natural gas....what does everyone think?

Would take injectors/fuel pump depending on how different that gas is from gasoline

the main thing would be a tune and someone that kinda knew what they were doing

i researched for quite a long time on this topic (i live in socal too), and basically no, there is no carb legal kit to turbo our cars. i know some mechanics though that would pass your car if u handed them 250 cash. u don't even need to bring your car in lol. 250 a year to pass emissions is quite a lot though considering what you are putting your money into. not worth it imo.

I think it depends on what all you have done to your car, too, whether it is worth it or not...

If the 250 is less than it would cost a ticket or a shop to chop it all off, then it may very well be worth it. Also, I thought you only had to smog every 2 years?

Of course, it may also pass smog legally if you have it tested as a turbo Eclipse/Talon...

That'll be pretty expensive. On top of that, you'll redline at 2000rpm and your car will immediately burst into a fireball.

But they'll probibly pass it for exhaust smog.

Although a flaming car releases all kinds of pollutants. LOL
