hi guys, my opinion is my 91 eclipse GST, the brake suck, so i'm looking sor upgrading it, i'm thinking of cross drilled& slotted rotors, but the single pistion caliper seems like it really small, i wonder if i can swap the set whole up (rotors and dual piston caliper from my 92 Stealth nonturbo), because the one from the turbo, the caliper so big, i can't put stock wheels on. any body ever done this before ? let me know what kind of upgrade you guys do, thanx

You are right about the brakes ... you really don't need bother cross drilled and slotted ... either or works just fine ... but its your choice ... They make a few brake kits you just have to search for them and they might be a little expensive ... you could always try to do the stealth calipers on with some diff wheels and let us know how it turns out ...

with the non turbo Stealth, i think the stock wheel work just fine, but the Twin turbo, the front calipers are huge, the brake is excellent, but will needs different wheel to clear the caliper

Well, if you upgrade to bigger rotors, you will need bigger rims anyway. Lucky for you, the stock evo rims fit and are 17" they look pretty good and can be purchased for $200. Pretty damn good... Anyway, slotted are better than any other combo. You loose too much surface area with drilled. You would be surprised how much just some good rotors and pads can help.

gyrodisc.com sell some good stuff, and I believe you can use the twin piston calipers off of the GSX, you just need 16" rims to clear them. You can also go on Road Race engineering's website and check on the garage sale page... Last time I checked, they had a few sets of AEM rotor upgrade kits with caliper relocation brackets to fit the larger rotors for around $200. Not too shabby a deal.

Oh, and project Mu for pads. Most of the other squeak too damn much for street use.

For the cheapest upgrade that WILL work with your wheel. Just replace the single pistons calipers with the duel piston ones off the 93-94 eclipse.

Ive mentiond this before, but Stillen.com is having a huge sale, on cross-drilled brembo rotors and their own line of brakepads for all years of the eclipse, and Talon. http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?id=BPSP...p;model=ECLIPSE its like $80 for both rotors and $40 for all 4 pads. Its and easy and great looking modification.

All I did was buy some 80 dollar Powerslot Rotors and some HAWK performance pads and MAN!

If only my car went as fast as it stops.

HUGE difference.

The 2G, or mine had two piston calipers.

All I replaced was the rotors and pads.

really cheap, super effective, even on the much heavier GSX

ok, i'm looking for a set of 2 piston calipers from a 93-94 eclipse turbo, but for the 93-94 turbo they were not all have dual pistons, only some have dual, most have single piston caliper , you guys knows what model came with the 2 pistons ? i know 95 up with the dual caliper different then pre 95, so it might not even bolt up at all

and i'm going to get the slotted rotors, should help stop quicker right, but there are many different aplication, year, mine is turbo FWD, how do i know what will be the right set of rotors for the 2 piston caliper ? i hate to order the wrong one and have to return them
sorry for the confusion, thanx alot for your help
