THIS IS MY FIRST EVER JAPAN CAR EVER. IT APPEARS TO BE OK, BUT TIME WILL TELL. ITS A 2009 OUTLANDER SE 4 CYL CVT BLUE METALIC. BOUGHT 10/09/2009 WITH 7 MILES ON IT.

THE DEALER SEZ IT CAN GET UP TO 24 IN TOWN..ANY TRUTH TO THAT? OR WILL I BE LUCKY TO GET 20?
I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN HEARING ABOUT ANY MILEAGE IMPROVEMENTS. I HAVE AN 04 VW GOLF TDI THAT GETS 38+ IN TOWN,
SO THIS IS JUST ABOUT GOING TO DOUBLE MY FUEL BILLS.

ONLY REASON I'M GIVING UP THE V-DUB IS I NEED TO HAUL A POWERED WHEEL CHAIR AND NEED A CLASS III HITCH RECEIVER.

ARE THERE ANY PROBLEM AREAS I NEED TO BE AWARE OF?

ONE OTHER THING I WANT TO DO IS TOW BEHIND MY MOTOR HOME. DOES ANYONE HERE TOW THEIR OUTLANDER?

THANKS IN ADVANCE

JM

Hy , I understand why John is writing in caps ....

Now , I ride a Endeavor 2wd ,2005 , 140,000 kms with no problems.

Just that I want a smaller / more agile vehicule ...

My question : is it a good move to go with an Outlander , 2010 , v-6 ?

Would I loose comfort ? What do think of the Outlander ...thanks.

ONLY HAVE 230 MILES ON IT SO FAR AND LIKE IT A LOT.
ITSA BIG STEP UP FROM VW GOLF
FIRST FILLUP GOT 18.5 MPG.
WIFE DONT KNOW WHAT STEP EASY ON GAS MEANSBUT SHE'S LEARNING.

AS FAR AS V6 OR 4CYL GOES I LIKE THE 4 OVER THE 6. "THEY" CLAIM SAME MPG,
BUT UNLESS YOU HAVE A NEED FOR SPEED, BOTH DO THE SAME THING...GET YOU
FROM POINT A TO B.

TO COMPARE,
