First off, Id suggest checking the tension of the belt. they probably put it on way to tight, second, if this job was only done yesterday, or the day before, give it another day or two to reset the ECU. (This is needed when the battery is disconnected for a long period.) And third, if the Idle really is the problem, you can do it yourself for free. There are adjustments on the Throttle body. Also, I dont know how the engine in the Mirage is set up in its bay, but if there were any parts that had to be removed to get to the alternator, check them. I mean for tightness and all. For example: if the air intake system has a leak or is not tightened down then the MAF will be giving you ECU a reading that it cant match the correct amount of fuel too, thus a wide range of running problems/ rpms.
