(IMG:style_emoticons/default/00000732.gif) WELL i was think buying a VIPER alarm system but one of my lock switch on my door is like hard not that hard but it wont open or close when i press the switch to close it on the door only the passanger so whatg should i do forget bout the alarm system ?

ya prob thats wat ill do i took out the horn fuse but it didnt work it only makes it like not that loud

There is a small problem. My car doesn't even have power steering, let alone an security system.

Are you referring to a power lock switch or a mechanical one on the door? If it's power then more than likely the actuator (motor)is bad and needs replaced. If it's mechanical take the door apart and apply lithium grease to whatever is needed. As for the alarm itself - whether or not the door is locked won't matter as they are triggered from a pin switch (either the one in the door from the factory or an aftermarket one.) The alarm will sound whenever the pressure on the switch is released (door is opened) it has nothing to do with the locks even if the alarm has the ability to lock and unlock doors this is a separate function and is triggered spearately by a relay.
